History

Established in 1998.

Established in 1998 the McLean School of Music has been serving the McLean, Arlington, and Tysons area for over ten years. With our local and personalized approach weve served the community and school needs for years. Our students have succeeded at all the local schools including, Cooper and Longfellow Middle School, and McLean and Langley High School.

Meet the Business Owner

Michael P.

Business Owner

Michael Parnell is Program director for the McLean School of Music. He is an accomplished musician and has taught music for more than 24 years and has held the position of Program Director of the McLean School of Music for more than 10 years. He has considerable experience in many roles throughout the music business as a performer, composer, and, conductor. Mr. Parnell brings to MSOM a unique vision for young music performers with an emphasis on music enjoyment and goal oriented musical studies.

As a member of the world famous United States Army Band «Pershing’s Own’, he has performed at the White House, Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl and throughout the world. He has had the privilege of entertaining numerous Presidents, Heads of State, and foreign dignitaries. He has more than a dozen internationally published music articles in the Instrumentalist, International Trumpet Guild Journal, and the International Trombone Association Journal.
