Rivertown Fine Books

I stopped in here while I was visiting Prairie Du Chien, WI which is only a few minutes away from Mc Gregor, IA. This is a BEAUTIFUL store with many wonderful books. The store spans 3 rooms and is packed with old and antique books as well as a bunch of very interesting antiques which are also for sale. If you are looking for the most recent bestseller then this store is not for you. But if you like browsing through shelf after shelf of beautiful leather bound books, then you have found your heaven. It was also the most aptly priced antique book store I have ever been in. If a book was only worth five dollars, that is what it was priced at. The prices were not sky high like many other stores of its kind, just because the book is old.
The owner was wonderful to talk to and even recommended a book to my fiancé that she ended up buying. It is a wonderful place to spend an hour or two of an afternoon.
