History

Established in 1945.

The Maynard branch of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Prime Properties was originally Ledgard Real Estate. The company was founded by Harold Ledgard, who was well known in the area as an entrepreneur, real estate broker and appraiser. In 1977, Harold’s daughter, Nancy, joined the hometown real estate business, and began her tenure as Broker/​Owner in 1982.

Recognizing that the real estate profession was rapidly changing, due primarily to the advent of the computer, the local company decided to affiliate with a large, national franchise and became part of New England Prime Properties, Inc. in 1993.

The Maynard branch is located in the heart of the downtown area and boasts sales professionals who are well versed and educated in all aspects of real estate, including residential, commercial, industrial and new construction. The office works as a team and is focused on staying up-​to-​date with the latest technologies introduced into the real estate field.

With a background in Photography and Graphic Design, Allen takes a unique approach to property marketing which puts a strong focus on design and lifestyle to set his properties apart from competitors.
