History

Established in 2001.

Dr. Schermer began his career as an associate with a local general dentist. This association developed into the purchase of half of the practice and the beginning of a solo practice. Dr. Schermer’s original practice in the Hillcrest Medical Building moved to its current location in the Landerbrook Dental Professional’s Building in 2008.

Dr. Schermer decided early in his career to focus on the restorative and treatment planning aspect of dentistry. As a result, Dr. Schermer has developed relationships with the finest dental specialists in the area allowing the dental «team» to elevate the dental care delivered to his patients.

Dr. Schermer was raised in a small town in Iowa, graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry and completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Schermer continues his love of learning with participating in several local and national study clubs. Dr. Schermer practices with the philosophy of «will this help my patient get better?»

Dr. Schermer resides in Mentor, Ohio with his wife, Michelle, and their three daughters.
