Description

Specialties

At Reid’s Nursery, we carry native and adapted plants, trees and shrubs, in other words, things that do well here! The herbs and vegetables that we offer are naturally grown. In addition, we collect rainwater, use organic products and practices and also believe in composting onsite. We have organic soils, fertilizers and amendments to help our customers succeed in their gardens. There is a large selection of gardening books, plant and wildlife guides and more. Along with the many beautiful plants, we have a very good variety of shade and ornamental trees that will beautify your yard and garden. We also have free, educational seminars throughout the year.

History

Established in 2008.

Bill and Christine Reid, both longtime gardeners in Hays County, Texas, decided to create a nursery that had all the things they’d always looked for: naturally grown plants and trees that do well here and all the products and practices that are part of a natural, healthy approach to gardening.

Meet the Business Owner

Chris R.

Business Owner

Chris is a Hays County Master Gardener and started Reid’s Nursery in 2008. She and her husband, Bill, propagate many of their own plants, shrubs and trees. They use only natural methods, with no chemical fertilizers or pesticides. They also collect rainwater for irrigation and compost all left over plants and trimmings.

Chris has a passion for unusual and unique plants and always has a new

group of them ready whenever an opening becomes available!
