Specialties
Our specialty is handcrafted Virginia wines, family-made in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are convenient to interstates 81 and 77 in Wythe County and only an hour from Roanoke and Bristol and two hours from Charlotte.
On our fourth-generation farm, we offer a peaceful, bucolic environment for you to unwind with a glass on the patio or in front of the fireplace. We do special events from time to time, too. Joining our e-mail list or «liking» us on Facebook is the best way to keep up. Visit www.westwindwine.com for more information.
We’re open year-round, seven days per week except major holidays. We look forward to your visit!
History
Established in 2006.
Although we planted our vineyard in 2003, we opened our tasting room in the late spring of 2006 once we had wine to sell.
The farm has been in our family since 1914 and over those years was more about producing cattle than grapes and wine. With preservation in mind, we planted nearly 3000 grapevines and built a winery.
Now we produce about 1500 cases of wine per year with plans to grow slowly. We sell most of our wine in our tasting room but do have some retail partners, too (wine shops, restaurants).

«Not only are they a retail partner, but they put on great productions and provide great service. Great biergarten, too. Wonderful shows!»
