Hale Kamaluhia (Hawaiian for «House of Serenity») is a 1 bed/​1 bath ocean view vacation rental on the quiet Hawaiian Island of Molokai. It is setup so that all you need to bring is clothes and food. We have provided all the comforts of home plus an amazing view when you wake up. For your convenience we provide beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, 2 tennis rackets (w/​balls), snorkel gear (2 sets), 2 adult bikes, small cooler and a small insulated drink container, a spotting scope for whale or bird watching and we also have 2 fishing poles available upon request. There is WiFI, Cable and apple TV and a pool and Hot Tub on the grounds. We also have a vehicle we rent at a reasonable rate.

History

Established in 2015.

We came to Hawaii from New England with the Navy back in 1989. We fell in love with the people, the island, and the climate. Our tour only lasted 3 years but we were blessed to return again in 2009. We still love Oahu, but the increasing traffic is making it less enjoyable & taking a toll on us. In May this year we made our first visit to Molokai & immediately fell in love with the island and the people. It’s like «country» in the tropics. Imagine Hawaii of the past, unspoiled country and untouched beaches, no traffic & no stoplights! It reminded us a bit of the Oahu we knew 25 years ago, but even less developed. If you like lights, noises, chain stores, construction and need constant entertainment, then Molokai may not be for you. But if you love the ocean, are looking for peace, tranquility, beauty and want to see the Hawaii of yesterday, Molokai will not disappoint you.

Business Owner

Aloha, my name is Yvette and I am a military spouse and Mom (My husband is in the Air Force, my oldest son is in the Coast Guard and my youngest just joined the Air Force). We have been stationed on Oahu since 2009 and we love Hawaii, but not the traffic and busyness of Oahu. Hale Kamaluhia is one of my passions and I love being able to share it and Molokai with others. We spend a lot of time there and clean and maintain it ourselves to our standards (Disney Clean). We want our guests to enjoy it as much as we do and to feel like they are coming home to a cherished family retreat and want to come back year after year.
