Scrap4Art helps preserve the environment in NW Ohio and SE Michigan by re-​using and selling donated scrap material for arts and craft projects, teaching resource conservation and providing educational enrichment in the arts for all ages.

Scrap4Art is a materials reuse store. Donated materials are reused by students in the community in art projects.

Scrap4Art is an environmental education program. By merging environmental awareness with creativity, Scrap4art encourages new solutions to environmental problems.

Scrap4Art is an arts center. Donated materials are for sale to the public at Scrap4Art’s retail store.

Scrap4Art is a community outreach program. Scrap4art educates students and adults on waste reduction and the importance of resource conservation.

History

Established in 2006.

After visiting the Scrap Box in Ann Arbor people thought it would be great for Toledo to have their own version. We opened our shop in Downtown Toledo on Adams street and had great success working with Toledo School for the Arts and other community partners in the downtown area. Sadly we were unable to stay and that location and later moved to Maumee. We are now just three blocks from Conant and have a great space with lots of storage.
