Myself and my bridal party were very pleased with the girls at Maui Bridal Stylist!!! Our hair and make up looked amazing and lasted the whole night!!! Thank you!!!

Ashley, my hair stylist and Shannon, my make-​up artist were perfect. They arrived early. I was not sure which hairstyle to go with, and the style I saw online disappeared, so I found one as fast as I could (I aimed high), and Ashley tuned it into this beautiful intricate weaving of my massive amount of hair. She did waaaay better than the picture! She said «I can do better than that» and I said «alright», and she did, it was an amazing updo. It lasted from 3pm to 11pm when I took it down. I got so many compliments. As thick as my hair is, in the past, many bobby pins must be used, and maybe this was just luck, but it was very comfortable. But I really feel that she knows her stuff. They work fast, like ferry god friends!
Shannon made me look more elegant and feminine that I ever have looked. I just told her, «make my eyes pop», and she did. I am not a ‘zitty person’, but that morning I broke out, and looking at my pictures you would never know. I had another photo shoot early the next day in the water and the stuff she used stayed on. I broke out from my chest (sleeveless/​shoulder-​less dress– what I nightmare!) all the way up my face, but no one at my wedding could tell. They are both miracle workers!
They helped make my wedding perfect. I was able to relax and go with the flow. If you use these girls, you can relax and rest assure they will raise the bar on what you were expecting. That’s how I felt. Oh, and last minute I decided to add these bling hair clips, and she made it work beautifully!
Also, they were waiting by the door, as I did not hear them knock, so check your door, they’ll be there early with bells on!
Oh, and my photographer arrived and she was impressed with their work, she was captivated! She got their cards, lol.
Also they post their prices, and they are totally worth the money; you can rest assured that you are in excellent hands. I went with a package deal. Worth it! And they get back to you in a timely manner, which set them apart from other options I looked at, I really had no idea what to look for and was going by reviews, but I lucked out big time with them. I called them once months back, they booked me, they emailed me close to my arrival time, I confirmed, I even emailed them in between and they confirmed with me again. lol. Total pros!

Ashley Kakugawa is amazing!!! She’s got one of those comforting souls that puts you instantaneously at ease when you meet her and a natural talent for making you look beautiful on your big day.
I was lucky enough to randomly fall across her website a few months before the wedding and from previous reviews I knew she’d be wonderful and that’s exactly what she was.
There was no delay in getting back to me ever and she even took the time to create a bridal party hair & makeup schedule for us (which we printed off and handed out to those involved) saving us a ton of time!
She is very reasonably priced and the best part is that she comes to you (we were staying in Ka’anapali) for both a trial and the day of. She and Susie (makeup) were a wonderful team. Together they did not only my hair & makeup, but both of my bridesmaids, my sister-​in-​law, my Mom and my flower girl. Everyone loved what they did for them and the styles lasted throughout the evening.
I highly recommend Ashley’s services and hope I’m lucky enough to have her do my hair again someday soon!

I am one of the lucky brides that was fortunate enough to have Ashley Kakugawa do my bridal hair! I was undecided as to what i wanted my hair to look like and became very stressed out about it. Ashley was there to calm my nerves and gave me multiple ideas right there on the spot. I told her to do what she thought would look best. I could not have been more pleased with the «DO» she came up with. She is truly creative and has a way of making you feel like she is your best friend! I felt so comfortable with her and knew my experience was nothing but perfect on my perfect day! Ashley made me look so elegant and classy. My pictures will forever thank you!
