Business Owner

As one of the few Charlotte natives still around, I support Charlotte and surrounding cities. In my business I support personal computer repair as well as full suite of services for small and medium businesses. My background is in information technology. I am a licensed and insured CompTIA A+ certified IT technician. In addition to 13+ years of hands on experience, I have my Bachelors of Information Technology. Over the past decade, I have gained expertise in all Microsoft operating systems and hold several industry recognized certifications, including Apple’s Certified Support Specialist.

With that being said, as the owner and operator of Trox Tech, I also pride myself on providing top notch customer service. I want my customers to be 100% satisfied in their experience with Trox Tech. I believe in going above and beyond and providing a solution for my customers the first time around.

Trox Tech fixed some water damage on my computer. The only delay came from parts they had to order, otherwise they were extremely quick and were kind enough to come to my house to drop off the computer. They went about the job very creatively and managed to fix the problems much more cheaply than originally anticipated. Their pricing was more than fair.

My laptop recently stopped working so i looked around online and found Trox Tech. Brooks drove uptown and picked it up from my office and by the next day had diagnosed it with a bad motherboard. after discussing costs to fix/​replace and overall need, etc with Brooks help, i decided to go a completely different direction.
Brooks helped every step of the way and was 100% transparent in everything he did. He made multiple trips to my offce to pick up and drop things off and in the ended up putting together a whole multi monitor home office setup for my fiancé for a fraction of the price.
I recomend Brooks and his Trox Tech team to anyone with tech needs.

I had a totally satisfying experience with Trox Tech last week. My old desk top didn’t fare so well after a thunderstorm and I woke up the next morning unable to connect to the internet. Not a good thing since I work in my office from home. I called Gateway and they referred me to a service which led me on a wild goose chase so-​to-​speak. After 2 days with them of trying this and that, nothing was accomplished. I looked on Unilocal and Trox Tech was the first name I found. In less than 2 hours, Brooks was at my house and diagnosed the problem. He returned the next morning with the parts needed to get me back on line and working again. Problem solved in less than 24 hours and at half the price that Gateway’s bunch wanted to charge me. This guy is «top notch» and will give you good service at reasonable prices! I highly recommend Trox Tech !!!

Great experience with Trox — Brooks quickly diagnosed the technical issues (faulty RAM) with my laptop and fixed them on the spot for an extremely reasonable fee. Brooks is very knowledgable, responsive, and easy to work with (not always the case with IT support). I will not hesitate to return to Trox for continued support when necessary. Very, very satisfied. I had a great experience with Trox a few months ago. A co-​worker of mine «dropped» his computer and it stopped working. He was going out of town 2 days later and needed a fast turn around.
A quick google search and I called Trox. After a few exchanges, describing to him the problem and him explaining what it most likely was, he arrived at my office to pick up the computer and said he would have it back later that same day (which he did).
Unfortunately for my co-​worker his while hard drive had to be replaced, but luckily for me, I found someone who did great work and someone I will totally call upon again, though I hope I never have to! Oh, yeah and his prices were completely reasonable.

Trox Tech is the place to call for computer repair! My laptop had a virus that made it inoperable. The first place I called took down my information but never called back. I then called Trox Tech and Brooks not only said he could fix it, he actually came to my home to pick up the laptop! Talk about customer service! He brought it back in just a couple of hours and it works great and is faster than it was before the virus.
I highly recommend Trox Tech for computer repair.

My Macbook Pro screen was really badly spiderweb cracked. Brooks ordered the new screen, and then agreed to meet me by my house to pick up the computer. He fixed the screen in 24 hours, and then brought it back to me. The screen replacement warped some of my computer keys, and he ordered new keys to switch in due to the damage for no additional cost, and came to me to pop them into the keyboard!
Great service, and just a pleasant hassle-​free experience overall. highly recommended!

My computer was in bad shape, overrun by by viruses and barely working. I reached out to Trox Tech based on other Unilocal reviews and am so happy that I did. Brooks was friendly and easy to talk to. He offered to pick up the laptop and return it once he was done, which was extremely helpful. He picked the it up around noon and returned it by 6:30 pm. Upon return, the computer was as good as new, with all my data saved and restored. He also offered good advice on what to us to protect against future virus attacks. I’m so happy that I called him and although I hope that I don’t have to again, I will not hestitat to reach out to him for help. Total cost was extremely reasonable. Thank you Brooks!
