I took my son to Urgent care and was seen by a Doctor within 15 minutes. My son has Cerebral Palsy and is Deaf and visually impaired. Because my son would need to be sedated to have a cat scan done, he sent us to the hospital. We waited 5 hrs. People came in long after we did and left way before we even got called. I guess they prioritize the patients and they thought my son wasn’t in need of help. I guess they figured if your disabled your already harmed so whats the difference. He sat there in his wheelchair complaining about the pain in his side. He got madder and madder and then after 5 hrs of waiting he was so upset that he just said lets go home and see how it is in the morning. The people there don’t have a clue about people with disabilities. I will never go there again. People would sue a Vet if their dogs had to wait that long for help.

I went here the same day I was released from Huntersville Novant post hysterectomy to the ER with chest pain shortness of breath and swollen lip… this was obviously a reaction to what I was prescribed for medication post hysterectomy… I was not given a wheelchair to enter in even though I had let them know I was released just hours ago from Huntersville Novant… the nurse that took me back was obviously having too much fun goofing around with friends that were at the ER to pay attention… I almost collapsed in the hallway after she tried to lead down to furthest exam room from the entrance again without a wheelchair… I finally get into the exam room… and I had to wait almost 4 hours before anyone would see me or treat me… I had to complain to the nurses in the hallway… the first nurse I never saw again and after that saw 3 more before a doctor came in to let me know what they were going to do about the allergic reaction meanwhile all my pain meds had worn out after having a hysterectomy the day before!!! This was completely unacceptable!!! The amount of pain I was in for almost 5 hours there was un necessary It’s obvious to me that someone is going to end up getting seriously hurt because none of the nurses nor the staff at the ER take their job seriously!!! They should all be ashamed of themselves… they are supposed to medical professionals in charge of saving lives and helping people!!! I will never go back to this place ever again!!!

The wait was Ridiculous!!! I went in for severe pelvic pain was seen 5 hours Later! Waited for another 2hrs to see the doctor for my ultrasound results, I’ll take my chances with CMC next time!!!

Horrible hospital! Overall, lack of patient care! Some of the staff are friendly and helpful; however, others act as if you are bothering them when you ask them to perform a task that should fall under their job duties.

Ok place. I woudllike for the staff to be friendlier and when a PA comes out or an assistant they should tell you not that you think they are the doctor and find out week later they are not or were not.
