I mean. A mid century sectional UPHOLSTERED IN LEOPARD PRINT. Obviously, I had to have it in my life. The listing was posted by Frugal Finders, so I contacted Pierre, asked him a few questions about the piece, and promptly gave him my address for delivery.
That’s right — DELIVERY. The single most musical word to a treasure-hunter’s ears. I live about 45 minutes south of the store, so this was pretty much the greatest news I’d ever heard.
You mean I don’t have to go there, awkwardly try to load an enormous sectional into the back of my honda, angrily accept that it was never going to fit (because it’s a sectional. in a honda. no.), crabbily rent a u-​haul, go back to the store, awkwardly load an enormous sectional into the uhaul, drive 45 minutes to my house, awkwardly unload sectional, crabbily return uhaul, drive back home in honda?
Oh, you’ll just bring it to my house?
THAT’LL WORK!
However, as I waited for my kitschy couch to arrive, I started to question my decision-​making skills. I mean, buying upholstered vintage sofas sight unseen is a relatively bold move.
Thrilled to report my fears were unfounded.
It. Is. BALLER. It was in awesome shape, clean, pretty much perfect. And again — this can not be stressed enough — upholstered in *leopard print*. Amazing.
Pierre is SO nice, and I imagine there will be more Frugal Finders gems in my future.
In the meantime, if anyone needs me, I’ll be hanging out on my leopard print sectional, drinking mai tais, and waiting for my rollers to set.
