Yes Au Beurre Chaud is very good. I’ve tried many patties but Au Beurre is my favorite.

Best patties I’ve ever tasted, warm, flaky & delicious & they are actually nice in there, unlike Le Foyer in Mattapan, where the head chef looks like death everytime she takes my order, so depressing.

As described below this bakery is amazing! The bread is so warm and thick yet fluffy! They are a Haitian Bakery and when my friends come over and they are always intrigued by the circular looking bun… they will reheat it, put a little butter and take a bite and say«WOW! That bread is bomb!» I love their flaky patties as well and if I stop in personally I have to get an AK-100 it’s a cold, thick, lumpy drink that has a hint of vanilla. I’m not too sure. lol but it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good and especially from here! I dare you to try it! AK-100!

This Haitian bakery on the Mattapan/Hyde Park line on river st. has delectable pastries and desserts. The french style turnovers are made in beef, codfish, chicken, and herring. The mouthwatering patties are great paired up with ripe avocado(you’ll have to get the avocado on your own). The long de beouf(sp?) is sweet and flaky. They also carry fresh Haitian bread… yum and many other sweet, such as duce lete(sort of like dulce de leche). They have homemade drinks, such as grapefruit juice and AK-100(typically a breakfast drink made with corn meal and evaporated mil and chilled, awesome with a warm patty). During the summer they carry glacé corosol(sour sop slushies) that are umm umm good. Lines are usually long, but they typically move quick, unless the person in front of you is ordering patties for every generation of their family… seriously! They don’t accept credit cards, so be sure to go bring cash.

Amazing food and bakery products from the Carribean. I think the owners are from Haiti. Everything is so delicious there, you must pay a visit

For the best in Haitian baked goods, come here. Mattapan, being a center of Haitian activity is a perfect place for this amazing bakery to be found. Their bread is thick and soft and the patties are flaky and filled with the best meat. It is worth the trek outside of Boston. I think you really need a car to get there, though.
