Moving a piano not only requires the ability to physically maneuver the instrument from point A to point B, but prep time and other precautions to ensure all 88 keys survive the trip. When your piano arrives at its new home, we also know how to reassemble and fine tune all its moving parts so it performs like nothing happened.

History

Established in 1965.

Over 50 years ago, with tuning wrench in hand, Thomas Piano Service twisted its first tuning pin counter-​clockwise to slightly loosen a piano string and «flatten the note».

In other words, Reynolds Thomas tuned his first piano as a professionally trained Piano Technician and service provider in the Montgomery River Region.

Thousands of pianos later, his local, family-​owned business is still providing piano maintenance services in Central and South Alabama.

Joined by his son Joey, a skilled Piano Refinisher and Restorer, their combined expertise enables your piano to provide a symphony of sound as well as be a sight to behold.

Business Owner

Joey Thomas is a Piano Refinishing and Restoration Specialist in Montgomery, Alabama.

Joey joined the family business (Thomas Piano Service) shortly after high school and trained under his father, Reynolds Thomas. He was a quick study, and by building on the work ethic exemplified by his father, he soon became a skilled craftsman in his own right.

Joey has established himself as a local artisan with an appreciation for pianos as both musical instrument and fine furniture, adding a new dimension to the piano services offered by their business.

Joey’s piano workshop studio is located in the Montgomery River Region.

Joey is married and a proud father who enjoys spending time with family and friends.
