Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace

I went to the deli section to order cold cuts but the older gentleman who helped me sneezed all over his gloves then took a paper towel and wiped them. Then asked me what I want.Lol. Well I’ll tell u what I don’t want. Your germs! I don’t know if people working with food realize the gloves are for the customers protection! We don’t want your germs!!! I love this store but the deli area needs to be more careful. Change your gloves! It’s really not a big deal after handling mops, windex or other things not food related. The reason I say this is because I have seen them clean and help people with the same gloves. The one star is for the deli section only. I will be Back to see if they will be changing their gloves. If not, I will be calling the Health Department but I really hope I don’t have to.

Disappointed. Their vodka sauce is $ 9.99 for a large homemade tub which isn’t a bad price. Unfortunately it taste pretty horrible. Nothing to brag about nor would I recommend it ever to anyone. Their french onion soup is a decent price $ 4.99. Unfortunately it’s horrible. Taste like something boring from a bad diner. Totally disappointed. Let’s hope their fresh manicotti taste better today. Looks were definitely deceiving.

Ah, Uncle Giuseppe’s. If you want to have a heart attack, you should maneuver the parking lot that Uncle Giuseppe’s shares with other stores on the strip. However, is it worth my hypertension to come here? Oh yes it is! Uncle Giuseppe’s is your go-​to place for specialty grocery items, such as pre-​made soups and salads, and special meats and cheeses. If you want to wow your dinner party with a mean cheese plate, this is where you go. If you’re looking to pick up your run of the mill Goya beans, I’d avoid coming here. Not only is it perpetually crowded, the prices are higher as well.
So why is Uncle Giuseppe’s such a staple for me? Three words: BACON. CHEDDAR. BURGER. They make bacon-​cheddar burgers in regular and slider size. No longer do I have the need to scour every grocery store on the south shore to find these babies. This place certainly has them. They also have a killer bakery that makes things I can’t resist, such as cannoli chip-​wiches (come on, now) and little cakes. I mean, the fat girl I used to be is drooling just thinking of these wonderful little cakes.
DEFINITELY check them out for cool stuff you’d think you can only find at Fairway. It’s less crowded here, but keep in mind their prices reflect the quality of their specialty goods!

My new favorite market… Replaced Whole Foods, and i save $ to boot. No comparison to other «super» markets aka Waldbaums, Stop-​n-​Shop. This is a relatively new store, it’s clean, and well-​organized. Prepared foods department is so visually appealing, its hard not to want to try everything. Great selection of fresh pasta, «ready to heat at home» meals, and homemade sauces (I have tried the Marsala and the Vodka sauce so far!) Staff is friendly, and always willing to give a sample to taste! Can’t go wrong!

Warning don’t come here hungry! Will. Buy. Entire. Store. Great stop with so many options to choose from. Lots of cheeses (with free samples!) from cheddar, Gruyère, fontina, Parm, to huge freshly made mozzarella that’s still warm! They have a selection of breads, bakery items like cookies (try the cannoli cookies with the white sprinkles on top) cakes and more. And individual servings of homemade dinners to take home like meatballs, eggplant Parm, soups, salads and more. Great fresh meat with a butcher. Got the skirt steak and it was super tender worth every $$. They also have fresh pastas and homemade sauces to buy like vodka sauce, marinara, pestos etc. Large buckets full of olives to choose from and a deli counter full of so many options you wouldn’t have to cook for week. Chicken, fish, salads, spanakopita, shrimp, seafood the list goes on and on. Make sure you take a number because they go by them. The everyone working behind the deli was very friendly today too.
A great stop if you a looking for something to eat for lunch or dinner or for fresh ingredients to make a delicious meal at home.

This place is simply the best. They have an amazing bakery and deli selection. Overall the store is super clean and everything is of high quality. I would give 5 stars but I had one incident where there was a bit of sticker — probably coming from the fruit — inside my macaroni salad. It wasn’t going to kill me and more importantly it wasn’t something like hair so I wasn’t too upset. Also, the kids who work there are alright but would it kill them to put away their cell phones while ringing up customers?

Awesome store, the meats are of a great quality, same goes for the seafood. They have a great bakery with a very nice selection and candy counter with 3 chocolate fountains. Love coming to this store especially when I need to pick up something already made because they have a great prepared foods section. Try the raviolis and fresh mozzarella– so good!

Cmon. This place is way too close to us, and full of way too much stuff for me not to be here all the time. They’re going to make me broke.
1. Pastries. Do it.
2. They have a great bakery with fresh delivered and baked pastries, cakes, cookies, and all that stuff.
3. They have a great deli counter with meats, salads, cold cuts, premade dishes — all sorts of great things if you want a meal or if you’re throwing a party and don’t want to slice cheese
4. They have a lot of platters you can pick up with different appetizers and the like. I personally prefer to make these things myself, but in a pinch it can be quite helpful
5. Beautiful produce section.
6. Beautiful meat, chicken and seafood.
7. Home made pastas and raviolis
Alright so there’s all sorts of stuff you can get and you need here. I dont think this is necessarily the place you want to do all your shopping but if you need something, its convenient, and the specialty items you sometimes need and can’t find — different oils, spices, cuts of meat — definitely pick up here. Chicken stock and paper towels? Go to pathmark and save your money

A large but overpriced meat market; plenty of groceries and a semi delicious deil but brutalizing to the wallet. I ordered some grilled vegetables and the counter ape charged me 7 $ for a few string beans.

Beware of the parking lot gatekeeper, Ricky. He’s a barbaric beast; roaming around hunched over with venomous saliva leaking from his gapped fangs. Before I made it to the front door he was skipping towards me on his grizzly stumps and hairy knuckles like a Monrovia science project.
Once I pay off the string beans, I’ll be back.

Being of Italian descent this place reminded me of a combination of the Bay Ridge market place, Savarese bakery, and my grandmother’s kitchen. The wonderful, mouthwatering smell of the cheeses and meats as you walk down the first aisle on Uncle G’s is to die for. Prepared foods, a fish market and a bakery oh, the bakery OY! Uncle G keeps the place clean the aisle are wide enough to navigate easily and they have Sinatra playing on the PA speaker.

I wish I had enough money to make this my only supermarket. Nothing comes close to this! Every other supermarket on Long Island grosses me out. I wish there was a Wegman’s here but we just aren’t that lucky; however Uncle Giuseppe’s is a great substitute, besides the prices on basic supermarket items. When I come here I will just shop for fresh things, like meat, veggies, and bakery items. Everything is so fresh and full of flavor. I love the cannolis more than anything on this earth. Being Italian, I love Italian specialty shops, and this one tops Iverone. All the locations are good, this one is closest to me. Go here for fresh cheese and for the bakery!

I love this place. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it sooner. We moved to Long Island from Brooklyn and this place made me feel at home! The semolina twist takes me right back to Court St, I just couldn’t believe it. The shelves are all well-​stocked and they have everything you need. What are you waiting for?
Why not a perfect 5 star? I am not crazy about the deli/​prepared foods. They seem overstocked and it sits too long for my taste. Both times that I was pressed for time and purchased cutlets already cooked they were very dry like they would be a few days after you made them. I won’t buy any more prepared foods there at all. Not a huge loss for the store, I rarely buy prepared food anyway. I prefer to cook it myself. But, everything else, that you cook yourself is great. And, they have a big selection.

Now THIS is what an uncle giuseppe’s should be. Compared to the east ghetto location, this uncle giuseppe is heavenly. But besides the comparison, it’s such a nice location. Everything is very fresh and you can pretty much get any italian specialty here. From the deli area to the seafood to the produce and even the groceries are very top notch. This is a great shop and alternate between here and ivarone brothers. If you have never been take a visit and don’t leave empty handed, you definitely won’t if you walk by the prepared food counters, yum yum yum!

What a beautiful store! Neat, clean, well displayed. It’s a lot like Whole Foods or Fairway which, by the name I would never have guessed.
Obviously, it’s not where you do your entire grocery shopping (unless you can afford it of course) but they have everything. They boast a beautiful produce section, the bakery is to die for with gorgeous Italian pastries, and beautifully decorated cakes and cookies,… a giant family size black and white cookie!?? Hello!
Beautiful deli, fresh cheeses, olives, fresh pastas and raviolis. Seafood is there, for those who eat it, it looks fresh and is displayed nicely (although, I only can think poor fish but at least they’re displayed pretty?!).
The chickpea and feta salad I bought was delicious I ate it all quickly, but gracefully.
They also have a decent selection of organic and natural foods. Just wish they had soy yogurt, oh well can’t have it all.
I will be going back, truly a lovely store!

Thought I give this location a try, and to my surprise this was a much better experience than the Smithtown location. The employees were much nicer, the deli help is an older crew that wanted to help you any way they could. The prepared food is very good and tasteful and I will be returning to this location.

This place is great. I’ve been going here for a while, and surprised I never wrote a review. I strongly prefer this location over the Levittown location. The prepped food is good, sauces are good, butcher is good, and I find myself often going here for fish, over the fish market by my house.
⁹⁄₁₀ times i’m here for fresh produce though, vegetables and fruits. I hate to admit i’m probably here twice a week doing a small basket shopping. But that’s a testament to how nice and good this place is.

I cant believe I’m going to say this but Ivarone I may have to start cheating on you.
My god was I in heaven. Everything I love about cooking was there. The brands I love, the foods I love EVERYTHING!!!
You can get an entire full meal with out even lifting a finger. I had to cook for a wake and it made life so much easier without having to cook from scratch. There was premade full size dinners just there to pop in the oven.
I got lost in the balsamic section salavating at all my options. The size of there Garlic. amazed! Considering I feel this has been a crappy season for garlic. It has been small and not very tasty. But here… that good old robust Garlic I love!
5 words — CANNOLI CREAM FILLED CHIP WICHES!!!

One word. Heavenly.
This place opened up recently and is the marketplace of all marketplaces. First of all, it’s huge. This place is stocked up with a giant deli, grocery section, fish market, and the best place of all a sweet-​smelling sugary-​goodness bakery. This one-​stop-​shop kind of place is unique and has a variety of fresh ingredients and homemade meals.
The deli area: They have GREAT eggplant parmesan. It’s that homemade Italian chef– good. They sometimes give free samples so you can try it out. Then you have your regular deli area on the left. On the right, you’ll see that Uncle Giuseppe’s makes pre-​cooked portioned meals-​so if you’re on-​the-​go and need something quick… they got it. I’ve seen quiches, baked ziti, chicken parm, mac and cheese, etc.
The fish dept: Always fresh never frozen. They carry locally caught fish and have items like shrimp, scallops, clams, lobsters, etc.
In the grocery section, you’ll find great deals on things like produce to organic goods. Every week we get the flyer and they have some excellent deals. Usually if you spend $ 20 or more you can get crazy-​cheap deals (my mother got a giant thing of breadcrumbs for $ 2). No joke. It’s well worth it and there is no way you can enter this place and spending anything less than $ 20, ha! They have everything.
This is my favorite part about this place. From the moment you walk into this place it smells amazing. During the fall they made fresh apple cider donuts and the lady making them was so nice she gave one to me for free! So sweet. The bakery is huge and makes all types of delectable desserts but the one thing you need to try: THE GELATO. If that’s not enough to convince you to come here, I don’t know what will.
Last but not least. This place may be a bit price in some areas of the store… but for the most part not too different from a normal grocery store. Everything here is high quality. OH and a Frank-​Sinatra/​Dean Martin voiced guy comes and sings/​serenades the guests on Sundays… yup. The best.

I love this place because they combine the upscale nature of a Whole Foods or Ivaronne Brothers with a regular grocery store allowing for one stop shopping.
You can pick up great meats, fresh mozzarella, amazing prepared meals, produce and still get a box of Cheerios and Kraft cheese slices.
Deli area has an impressive selection of food and a great grab n go section for family style prepared Italian meals. Great breads and bakery. You can watch fresh mozzarella made in front of you and the meat and seafood counters offer a great selection of high caliber items.
Lots of registers open with baggers and they even offer assistance bringing your purchases to your car. A+ service!

This place is my heaven.
I’m not even kidding. There are so many things to love about this place.
1. You can get a full meal without having to do a stitch yourself, and it isn’t insanely expensive. I mean you’re definitely getting what you pay for, but I consider it appropriate. Want a huge Caesar salad with chicken for your family of 4? It will only cost you $ 10.99. Have you ever ordered salad with a pizza from a takeout place and get the sad little tin container setting you back $ 6.99? I feel sorry for you.
2. Freshest ingredients ever. I’m a regular customer who appreciates their delicious sushi options. They also have a deli, cheese section with so many options, and don’t even get me started on their meat and fish counters. It is all amazing.
3. Gelato. Need I say more?
4. Staff is lovely and place is immaculate.
The only 2 negatives are that the parking lot sucks and it’s always busy. But c’mon now, I understand why they’re so busy, so I’ll let this one slide.
