An AMAZING salon which happens to be open on Sundays. Safie Salon is a low key professional salon. Donna, Christine D and Danielle are fabulous. Never disappointed with a color, cut or blowout. There is never a wait to get done what you need and Safie always finds a way to fit you in according to your busy schedule. And did I say the BEST scalp massages when they shampoo your hair. I would highly recommend Safie. You will NOT be disappointed!

Had a great day of pampering, for my xxth birthday, at Safie Salon. The salon is clean, bright and modern. The entire staff was friendly, professional and very attentive, as I moved from service to service. I was there for 6 hours and the time flew by! Special shout out to Lisa, Debra, Stephanie, Lia, Robin and Karen for the terrific jobs they all did… and to the supporting team who always asked if I needed anything. I truly felt like a queen for the day. Thanks!

Finally got to come here for a color and cut, after reading all the Unilocal reviews, and all I can say is wow! Safie Salon is a clean, modern and professional salon, with a down to earth and courteous staff. I chose Olivia to do my hair, since she was so highly recommended by my fellow Unilocalers, and she is the most knowledgeable stylist I have ever met! She actually analyzed my hair and studied it. I felt so comfortable with her suggestions, and I left the salon with one of the best haircuts of my life! And Christina gave me a great scalp massage, and was always checking in on me while my hair was processing. I can’t wait to go back to get my hair painted!

I’m not usually one to take a compliment but I have received so many on my hair lately that I have to share. Today a complete stranger interrupted my conversation with someone to ask me about it. I couldn’t say enough great things about Olivia my colorist and Christina M my stylist. They are both so professional and confident that I’ve literally sat down and said do whatever you want. I always love the result. The salon staff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Definitely highly recommend this salon.

If you haven’t been to Safie’s in Massapequa, you are missing a wonderful experience. The salon has superior stylists, especially Jennifer. She is constantly educating herself with new cuts and techniques. Lisa and her staff are wonderful and you are made to feel extremely welcome. Can’t say enought about Dave, the acupuncturist — he is amazing! Started out with no feeling in my right hand, and I’m happy to say, the numbness is about 90% gone. In general it’s just a really nice place with really great people. It’s a must try!!!

Once upon a time I was cyber-​stalking on instagram — #balayage
I then happened to come across a salon that was near me — WEIRD. I started following this girl Olivia who works at this salon and specializes in hair painting aka balayage.
I called the salon 4 days before I had to go on a business trip to try and see if they could squeeze me in. Every one on the phone was very helpful. They told me I had to come in first for a consultation. I’ve NEVER had to go in separately for a consultation — usually they just do that the day of the appointment. Olivia then explained to me that day, that she likes to see the color & texture of the hair she is doing before they could give an accurate price, and considering I’ve never been in that salon before, she wanted to make sure my hair wasn’t a hot mess. I completely appreciated that she took the time to see me BEFORE the appointment.
Christine D. washed my hair, and was constantly asking if I needed any water/​coffee — she was so sweet.
Olivia was professional — never felt uncomfortable… and for some reason I just trusted this girl I found on the internet with my locks!
And obviously last but not least — I LOVED how my hair turned out. So the moral of the story is — it pays to cyber-​stalk!

I came to this salon on the recommendation of my friend Michelle. I usually get one haircut a year — sometimes two, so when I go I like to make it count and go to a good salon. I trust my friend, and trusted her recommending Lucy to do the job. And let me tell you — I am glad I did!
The salon is nice, and centrally located in the heart of Massapequa. I got a deep-​conditioning treatment, and Christina did a great job of washing my hair and applying the conditioner, as well as managing my tangled locks.
Lucy was very friendly and personable, and actually listened to what I want. Having long hair, it’s easy to walk into a place and ask for the ends to be cleaned up/​a trim and walk out with 6 inches of less hair. Not Lucy. She created beautiful long layers, and updated my tired look. She blew out my hair and curled the ends out and I looked FAB-​U-​LOUS. I got a metric ton of compliments, and I couldn’t be happier. I mean, I uploaded a pic to FB and got almost 100 likes on my new hair — and isn’t that saying something? LOL
They also have products available for purchase, I got the Arrojo (of What Not to Wear fame) hydro mist which has been wonderful as a detangler (better than the It’s a 10 I’ve been using), and Spice Water (a brand I’ve never heard of before) smoothing serum that has a lovely smell to it.
The haircut was $ 60, deep conditioning $ 15. They gave me a 20% off to come back for my next salon visit, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend this salon and Lucy.

Finallllly found my salon! I’ve been searching for a new place to get my hair cut. For the past few years I’ve been going to the same place, getting a cut by the same girl — and she did a good job, but I never really felt like I was getting a great haircut. Especially with the price, you want to feel like you leave and you can really tell that you’re maintaining your look.
In any event, since we moved, I’ve been trying out new salons every month looking for a new place, and this was on my list. Thankfully, I don’t think I need to look much further. It looks like a salon (not a living room), they’re busy — yet efficient — and you don’t feel rushed. Lucy did my hair this week, and I will absolutely be coming back. She’s fairly new to the salon, I think she said she’s been there a couple months. Shes polite and sweet, and you can tell she’s very focused on what she’s doing — there weren’t any times I felt like she was distracted… and she gave me a great cut!
Thank God I dont need to keep looking!

I do not write many reviews, but this salon is wonderful! I bought a Groupon to try a new salon, and chose Safie Salon. I told the salon ahead of time I had long, thick hair, and they suggested I go with Shavon! Shavon is just awesome, I have had my hair done in top salons in NYC, and this girl just gets it! She did a wonderful job on my hair giving me long layers, just what I wanted! I will be a forever customer, ask for Shavon

Good single process hair color, but unfortunately one of the worst haircuts I’ve had in years. It’s my fault should never had went to someone new when I have a great stylist. I thought if I just got a trim they could just follow what I already had. I have an appointment next week to fix it. I went there last minute because I had a job interview the next morning and I got stuff at work and had to cancel with my regular place. Staff was friendly. They seem to have many specials, none offered to me.

I got my hair cut here along with a conditioning treatment. The woman who cut my hair was gentle, friendly and just all over great! I was greeted professionally when I walked through the door and they took my coat for me. My stylist took her time with my hair… as if it was a project and I was so glad. I hate it when stylists rush through your hair. This one took every strand into detail and my hair looked and felt wonderful afterwards!
Last time I had a hair cut this good was in Florence, Italy… So yah… 5 stars

I never get my hair done by anyone other then my aunt but she does live out of state so I came here for an updo for a wedding and LOVED IT! The staff is super friendly, they did an AMAZING job and it wasn’t overpriced. Very happy with this hair salon and will come back whenever in need of an updo!

This salon is gorgeous and everyone who I encountered was very professional.
My fiancé was sweet enough to buy me a Groupon to get my hair done, by the recommendation of a friend who came here a week earlier. For $ 35 I got a deep conditioning treatment, cut, and styled blow-​out. A very good deal, if you ask me!
I arrived a few minutes before my 1:45 appointment, with my sister. Our coats were taken, we were offered coffee, and she took my Groupon easily off my phone. It was an immaculately clean and beautiful salon. Nails, hair, massages, and facials! So many things to choose from and I bet they do it all well. I highly suggest making an appointment, I can imagine this place gets very busy.
I was a little nervous, to be fair. Come on ladies, you know how I feel. First time at a brand new salon? You don’t know what to expect. Let me tell you that this place surpassed my expectations tenfold.
Olivia did my hair. She was incredible. Right before she called me back, she was walking up with a client who had just been finished and her hair looked amazing. It made me feel comfortable knowing I’d end up looking just as good!
She was professional, sweet, and funny. Not to mention one of the best hairdressers I’ve ever had the privilege of getting my hair done by. When I asked for lot of movement and layers, she delivered. She also have a mean scalp massage!
I can’t recommend this salon enough. It’s worth every penny and I think I’ve found my new go-​to salon with my new favorite hairdresser, Olivia!

I used Safie Salon for my wedding last weekend and I couldn’t be happier. 1^st of all, the hair trial that I got with Cathy there just prior to my wedding was great. She gave me suggestions, but mainly worked with what I had in mind and made my hair absolutely beautiful. She took as much time as we needed with no rushing through it, showing me that my wedding hairstyle was important. I should also tell you that I actually tried this salon for the 1^st time just a few wks prior to this, where I got my highlights done and also a haircut. My hair came out great, but the color was just not exactly what I had in mind. The hair stylist, along with the owner and manager, insisted that I needed to be happy with it and scheduled another appt., free of charge, to come back and fix my color to how I wanted it. When I went the following wk, they redid the highlights and made it the color I wanted. It looks great and I was so pleased with the service. …Now on my wedding day, Lisa [the owner], along with Cathy [stylist] and Lea [makeup artist] all came to my house where I was getting ready. (I asked them to come there for my wedding day so i could get ready there with the girls.) Cathy did my hair amazing again and Lea did an unbelievable job with my makeup. I wasn’t even expecting airbrushing for my makeup, but that’s what she did and we all loved it! It actually stayed on perfectly ALL NIGHT, into the next day! I actually would go back for makeup on another important night. My mother and 9 yr old stepdaughter also got their hair and makeup done and loved it too. They live on 2 opposite sides of long island and both want to start coming here now to use them! On top of the great service, the great hair and makeup and great people that I’ve dealt with here, the prices are good too. I always read reviews online and honestly never write them, but I’d recommend this salon so highly that I had to leave a review.
