Wize Eyes

I tried this place because it was convenient and they had a Sunday appointment available but this was the worst rapid eye exam that I’ve ever had. They changed my prescription without telling me and I had difficulties seeing, I went back to complain that my prescription or the lenses were wrong they quickly dismissed me with some excuse without checking or rechecking my vision.
I paid over $ 300 for my exam and contacts but had to go to another doctor to fix my prescription
I am very shocked and disappointing, worst eye experience ever!

Nothing to complain about, the eye exam was only $ 18! I first went to Wal-​Mart where the exams where either $ 40 or $ 50 and someone referred me to Wize Eyes. It was quick and painless, everyone including the Doctor was friendly and nice, I think I got my glasses the next day too. They had a but one pair get the 2^nd frames free, the woman pulled a few pair’s I liked and I was home in no.

Purchased my original pair at the Massapequa store several years back. Since then I’ve had to stop in there for different little repairs or adjustments. Each time I’m greeted with a smile, my problems are fixed and I leave. Customer service at its best. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from Wize Eyes again and recommend this company to anyone… especially this store.

After buying several pairs of eyeglasses from this location, I haven’t had the best customer service experience. I think Wize Eyes has fair prices and a good selection of frames, it’s just this particular office that I don’t really like. The office in Westbury is way more welcoming and willing to help you pick out your new glasses.

I don’t know what this Randy H. guy is talking about! When I got my eyes examined there last week, it was very clear that It’s $ 18 for the exam and if you take your prescription and don’t purchase anything it is $ 39. The exam is still $ 18 if you leave it there — — I don’t know about anyone else, but if i’m unsure of something in a store, I will ask questions. Not to mention that there are signs inside and outside of the store CLEARLY stating all of this! Even $ 39 for a full eye-​exam is VERY inexpensive compared to any other place.

Classic bait and switch. I walk in asking for an eye exam for glasses, the guy behind the counter asks if I have insurance, I say no, and he says o.k. And tells me it going to be $ 18.00 and proceeds to write that number down on his pad.
What a deal, $ 18.00, how can you go wrong. I even have a $ 20 in my pocket to pay.
I have the exam and reach into my pocket for my trusty $ 20. That’s when they tell me if I want a copy of the prescription it will cost $ 39 for the exam. Really? How does that work. C’mon guys, if you would have leveled with me up front I might considered buying my frames there.
Apparently you get a $ 21 credit if you come back for the frames there.
Just tell me the truth, when he wrote down $ 18 on his pad I really believed him. If it sounds to good to be true…

On a positive note, the doctor did a comprehensive exam and was very professional. Thanks Doc.

Despite the obvious missed opportunity of having their logo as an owl wearing glasses, Wize Eyes is pretty much the bomb. I know this may seem like a somewhat hyperbolic or even all together ridiculous claim, considering it is a shop that does eye exams and sells glasses and contact lens, but it’s true. Their prices are outrageously low compared to the competition. In fact, I was better off using Wize Eyes without insurance than I was using my POS Empire Blue Vision. An eye exam, which you have to wait approximately 10 minutes for, is just $ 18, and goes toward the cost of your purchase. I had been having some difficulty reading (i.e., was holding things exponentially closer to my face), and within twenty minutes, they explained to be exactly what was wrong, and I was well on my way to being able to read again without contracting mind-​numbing headaches. Hooray!
Additionally, they have this eyeglass-​frame choosing magician in this place. I mean, the guy is seriously good at assessing what will best fit your face. They have hundreds of frames, which just about sent me into a panic attack, and yet this guy was able to assist me in finding the perfect pair so quickly. I think I ultimately tried on less than ten. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase (I can see!), and cannot believe it all cost just $ 200 – well below what I have seen elsewhere. And that’s for scratch-​resistant, non-​glare lenses too. Nice. And did I mention they will replace up to six pairs per year if they are broken? What?! Awesome.
If this place sold shirts, I would totally rock it. That’s how much I want to rep Wize Eyes. I am abnormally obsessed.
