Great atmosphere, great service, great selection. I enjoyed all 3 of my beverages. I even bought a tshirt!

Clean, fancy-ish restaurant. I bit pricey. Table for two at least 50 $. Food was okay. I’d go back.

Love this bar. They have an expansive beer selection, but they have many options for those who prefer a lighter beverage. Ginger beer, Mango Mead and my favorite Kombrewcha! The food is better than most bars: the mash potato wanting, zucchini fries and the best entrée is definitely the Fallen Phoenix: marinated coffee rubbed steak, sounds unusual, but so worth it! Just avoid the pulled duck sandwich, seems like a good idea in theory, but the spices are a little funky.

Came here for dinner and was seated right away(on a Tuesday). Ordered the turkey club which was really good. They have a huge beer menu, though some are quite pricey. I ordered a wheat beer I’d never heard of and it was delicious– $ 9 though and I’m not sure if it was a full pint. The club was about the same price. The Good Life seemed like a nice restaurant. Pretty small but if you’re on a date or with a small group they’ll be able to accommodate.

Love their menu and their beer dinners. Huge variety of craft beer. Chicken Tikka Masala is one of the best I have ever had.

Welcome to a bar that not only fulfills a man’s need to quench his matriarchal related depressions or work/life balance with an arsenal fulla beers, but a restaurant so delicious, I’ve seen the elephantine ghosts of Notorious BIG and Jim Belushi sharing a zesty macaroni and cheese entrée in the back. The Good Life keeps their kitchen open till 2AM. Therefore, subpar dumps like Massapequa Diner or the crustier one in Wantagh are finally obsolete. The«Keen-Wah Salad» is pure perfection for any health conscious feaster or hap-hazardous mule trying to cut back on his/her calorie intake; I’ve eaten it on numerous occasions with the freshest grilled shrimps, you’d think they were set aside as cast members in an upcoming Red Lobster commercial. I mean that in the sense they actually look as good as they taste for once. While I’m writing this review and walking to my car several blocks away, the song«Good Life» by One Republic is radiating from above as a bovine couple enters and sits cramped in a small booth across from the bar. A gleeful smile is on my pale face; the thought of delighted human creatures about to take their first magical bite gives me solace in this wretched world.

I just dined here for the first time today due to a friends recommendation. It was a Sunday afternoon and there was only about four other tables filled when we walked in. The hostess sat my wife and I next to the only other table in the entire restaurant with children. Usually in that situation I would ask to move, but I dealt with it. The kid kept his mouth shut for the most part lol(yeah I don’t like dining with kids)! I ordered the BBQ Duck sandwich with sweet potato tots and the wife got the Chicken Torta. We didn’t get any apps because we were going to a sushi omakase later that night and didn’t want to over do it. 25 minutes passed until we go our food and it felt like an eternity. Again, they were not crowded. So the food comes out and we notice that both of the servings were really small! My BBQ Duck sandwich was absolutely delicious! It was a cross between an Chinese duck bun and a Vietnamese Bahn Mi. The only thing was that I thought some heat would balance it better because there was a lot of sweet going on. I asked for some Sriracha to balance it, then it was perfect! The sweet potato tots were great and I didn’t even need the honey mustard sauce that came with them. The wife’s Chicken Torta was delicious! She said that she would get it again, but next time we would need to get some apps to make up for the size of the sandwiches. Knowing that we had a big meal to look forward to later in the day, it kinda worked out that we didn’t leave stuffed, but seriously portion size is an issue here and my wife and I are not large people. All in all its a good place. We will be back.

Arrived here on Saturday early evening with my family. just before 6pm and had approximately 30 minutes to wait for a table to become available. Surprisingly, the bar area was already crowded however the noise level seemed to be minimal. We were seated and immediately the waitress began to take our drink orders. When our drinks arrived we ordered our appetizers and entrees. We started with The mashed potato wantons and the pot stickers. Both were excellent! I ordered the classic cheddar burger with bacon. It was amazing. It is obvious that the chef here understands the complexity of flavor profiles. In fact all of us enjoyed what we ordered. I would agree with other posts that The Good Life is more then a sports bar. It’s a high quality restaurant and sports bar. It was very cool to watch a sporting event on one of the many HD flat screens in perfect view of my table. But the key to the experience is their menu. Especially the burgers!

This place has a great atmosphere, and is more of a restaurant, than a bar in my opinion but that doesn’t take anything away from the place as overall I give this place two-thumbs up! We have been here on a number of occasions, the French onion soup is definitely different, but very good. The fish taco’s are out of this world… the wings were just your average wings, and the burger was good. The few entrees including the buffalo chicken we have gotten when frequenting this place were all very good. The sweet potato tater-tots are a change from the norm as well, and thoroughly enjoyed. Very relaxed place, great atmosphere, good food; we will definitely be back again.

I just read some of the two star reviews and I have to say those people are just annoying. Like they’re just awful people that use Unilocal to bitch. Okay so we waited 45 min for a table at 7pm on a Saturday. Tables by the bar are first come first serve– wish we would have known that; we would have snagged one– not that we didn’t have the chance; we awkwardly stood next to one and when someone asked we obviously had a buzzer so it was wrong of us to claim two tables at once. Irregardless– we were seated with Marisa who was amazing. Great service, happy, chipper, ready to help and pleased to serve. Well worth the wait for genuinely friendly people. We ordered two beers at the bar before we sat which were the Hopsidedown and The Good Life. Good beer the Hopsidedown was delicious we had another with dinner. We also tried a Blondie it was alright. For dinner appetizer the highly rated potato wontons — eh. I expected something more I guess. Don’t get me wrong they were good. But it’s literally a scoop of mash with sour cream and bacon bits. The«wonton» part I have no idea where it comes from. In 4⁄6 there was a crunchy part that I figured was the skin but deff not a wonton. Lol. I ordered the Good Life burger medium well and it actually came out medium well! So happy. With a side of sweet potato totts which were delicious! My spouse had the Patty melt which came on Texas toast which he explains was better than a bun. The caramelized onions were his favorite but you have to love onions. Over all the experience dragged a little at first but was deff saved by our server. She was attentive and sweet. Quick service and no pressure to pay and leave. Can’t wait to try the garlic chilly wings we took to go. We’ll be back.

Tried the pulled pork sandwich this visit and it was awesome, great flavor and it came on grilled bread for added crunch. Also tried the burger and it was great, definitely one of the best pub burgers I’ve had. Had the Chimay grande reserve(blue) a very dark beer that was very easy to drink, and not too bitter — 9%abv. Food took awhile to come out and the waitress was just alright. Still coming back for drinks and food.

I thought I’d provide an update and review some of my favorite food offerings from Good Life. The wait times are still ridiculous on the weekends and peak hours, so be prepared to exercise some patience. The bar area can be packed as well, so keep that in mind. Potato coins: Fantastic appetizer that is basically Irish nachos in disguise. Homemade potato chips with melted pepperjack cheese drizzle… ah-mazing! Mashed potato wontons: I haven’t a clue where they came up with wonton when describing this appetizer. They are mash potatoes rolled into large balls with scallions, cheese and bacon drizzled on top. They are definitely heavy. One time my boyfriend and I ordered these for an appetizer and were way too stuffed to eat our main courses. It’s definitely something to keep in mind. Fried mac-n-cheese: These are way better than competitors’ offerings of this app. They are shaped into triangles and have pepperjack cheese drizzle, so they have a little bit of a kick. Prime Minister Sandwich: This is, essentially, a sliced skirt steak put into a garlicky bun and served with jalapeño cheddar, fried onions, and BBQ sauce. This will definitely kick your cholesterol level up a notch, but it’s a great option if you’re craving something savory. Aside from the English telephone box that serves as an entrance to Good Life and the fact that they offer Boddington’s, I can’t really say that this is a quintessentially British pub/restaurant. It’s still worth a try regardless of that.

I ran into one of my friends while shopping in Massapequa & we decided to get a quick bite & some libations… leading us to the nearby Good Life, aptly named mind you. We started off with the Pequa Sipper which contained Pimm’s #1, Watermelon Liquor, Cucumber Liqueur & Lemonade. A suggestion by our wonderful waitress Sara. A great choice to start with. I ordered the Good Life Burger with Tater Tots and my friend ordered The Prime Minister. So of course we did the only logical thing, cut our sandwiches in half & switched with each other. My burger was cooked perfectly medium rare with the ample amount of luscious cheese to compliment the juiciness of the burger. Her Prime Minister was good, but needed more steak & jalapeño in the cheese. To cut the richness of the sandwiches I opted to get the American Mule(why it’s not a Moscow Mule I don’t know) as my 2nd cocktail. Simple but refreshingly delicious, my friend declared it her new favorite adult beverage. Simply Vodka, Ginger Beer & Lime, Licious! Would definitely come back when I’m in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Finally got to check this place out! Parked outside was a little good life beer cart and I’m very curious where they drive it to. Got seated right away and unfolded my newspaper menu(I’ve never seen that before!) I was in the mood for a sandwich and went for the prime minster. Sliced steak, haystack fried onions, cheddar jalapeño sauce &BBQ sauce. Came on a butter roll and my steak was tender and cook perfectly. If you’re worried about the cheese sauce being too spicy, don’t be, it was very mild. Got pasta salad as my side and it was pretty good had the long curly pasta instead of elbow and it was not overly mayo-y. The place has a really cool vibe and the staff seems to really care about their customers. The food is scrumptious here and not that expensive. A definite(high) step up compared to most bar food. I can’t wait to come back, I want to try the mashed potato wontons :) *update — Mac attack burger cooked to perfect medium rare and dripping with juice. Food is still Great, service is just very slow*

Ehh Nothing memorable. I ran in here late Friday night for some drinks and apps. Tried the PB&J wings, sweet potato tater tots & the spicy garlic wings. They were all good but nothing great. The wings had a good crisp but a little too dry. The sauce was good but the peanut butter wings tasted like straight Jiffy. There was barely any jelly sauce. Idk it was too much for me as far as the peanut taste. There were a lot of cool things to try on the menu but I wasn’t that hungry. Considering it was packed I’m sure there’s more to it. The atmosphere was cool and if you’re into beer they offer a bunch of different varieties and ciders. Give it a try. Welcome to the«good life»(t-pain voice) lol

I’ve been here twice and both times were not a disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful on what to select on the menu. I do recommend trying out the Good Life burger with fried mashed potato wontons and one of the everything pretzel. All of these dishes were amazing, I especially enjoyed the everything pretzel as it had some very zingy sauces on the side. The place is also very comforting interior and a spacious exterior. Very cool spot to eat and chill with some friends.

I know I’m not the only Unilocaler who sometimes, while dining, can’t stop thinking about the great review I’m going to leave for a restaurant later. Well that was me again on Saturday night. WHERE do I begin? I almost went to Friday’s. Then God intervened and said«You need a taste of The Good Life.»(Friday’s randomly closed around 10:30) So we walk in to this unique place. At first I thought it had a typical bar kind of feel, but they have intimate two person eating on the side and restaurant seating in the back which was exactly what my fiancé and I were looking for. We were seated immediately and given our cute newspaper menus. The menus here change seasonally and they only have certain entrée items on late night menu. Sandwiches and burgers are served until 2am. We ordered drinks, the waitress made helpful suggestions. We got long islands/long beach iced teas and they were so good. There is no way to explain the experience of tasting their sweet potato tots, i just don’t have the words. My life changed. Now, they aren’t for everybody but for someone like me who has an obsession with sweet potato fries and a weakness for tater tots… I was in HEAVEN. They really are heavenly. They are perfectly crisp and sweet, served with a kind of mustard sauce that I was sure I would hate but it actually worked well. I ordered the Turkey melt which came with a salad. I ended up taking half of the sandwich home and it tasted just as good the next day(go figure.) My fiancé got the Asian Turkey burger, which he said was good but i was far too focused on my own food to even taste it(this NEVER happens.) Everyone was super friendly, service was great, the music wasn’t too loud in the dining area(one of my pet peeves at late-night food places), and I went into a very welcomed food coma after my meal. Massapequa Park is a bit of a troop for me, but I will definitely be back until I figure out how to hijack their sweet potato tots recipe!
