History
Established in 1992.
Rick Alan started in residential carpentry as an apprentice, with hands on training in the three main phases of residential carpentry, including framing, exterior trim, and interior trim carpentry. After several years of training, Rick began taking on small odd jobs relevant to the trade. Quality work left behind a good reputation and eventually more side work than he could manage. Finally Rick Alan Carpentry was established and became Ricks’ full time passion. The carpentry and remodeling business grew slowly to a ten man operation, as Rick prefers to stay small enough to oversee most of all projects from an idea to a professional product. The business downsized in a poor economy, however survived where many had to call it to an end. Rick Alan Carpentry renamed while incorporating in 2014 and became Rick Alan Custom Woodworks Inc. Currently the business is taking on many types of carpentry work, from door fixes to complete home builds, and has been involved in commercial work as well.
Meet the Manager
Richard A.
Manager
Rick only graduated high school, however was an honor role student throughout his education. He was a natural at math and science which created a firm base for construction work. Rick is passionate about woodworking as well as architecture, and has a keen eye for woodworking scale and geometry. Rick discovered his passion when using a router (wood shaping tool). when using this tool he began to ponder whether he could make a career doing something that he enjoyed and was passionate about. As an apprentice at his first full time job, Rick absorbed the knowledge like a sponge, and quickly became the «go-to» guy for almost any carpentry job for his employer. Much of the work that is created, Rick likes to call «eye candy» because it is often attractive to the eye.
