This is one of our favorite Indian grocers, particularly because it’s only about 5 minutes away from our house. They have great organic rice for super cheap, spices and produce that you can’t get anywhere else within about a 30 minute drive, and stuff like the pink Himalayan salt(Whole Foods sells it for $ 15, they sell it for like $ 7 and in larger containers). The staff is always super friendly and is happy to help you find things or answer any questions you have. On top of that they cook samosas each morning that they sell for like 1 $ or so. Particularly if you come in early while they’re still nice and hot, get one on your way out. They are awesome.

Niva Grocers is the place to go for groceries if you’re looking to make any Indian/Pakistani dish. Even for non-Indian dishes, they have a ton of spices and things so it’s great if you want to buy those in bulk for cheap. The building itself is in a strip mall next to Raja India and is very, very small. Yet it is packed with stuff. I bought a 20-lb bag of organic rice for $ 15, and several big packages of spices(about $ 10) and couldn’t be more pleased. Because I always buy the bigger packages of things I don’t really have to come here but every 3 – 4 months — and I cook a lot. It’s very a very basic, bare-bones ethnic grocer so don’t expect anything fancy… But they are nice and have a lot of hard-to-find stuff.
