I’ve been coming here for a few years now and have seen Dr. Fu only once as I usually see the nurse practitioner Kristine. Kristine has been very kind and thorough doing my regular skin cancer checkups. Dr. Fu also was nice, efficient, and very thorough. However, I will say that I have never waited less than 20 minutes in the waiting room. I don’t know why they bother making appointments because you will not be seen on time. That said, I do continue to come back and trust both Dr. Fu and Kristine’s with my care. Take that for what it’s worth.

I did not appreciate my experience with this doctor. I had been a patient for a few years and did not enjoy her lack of compassion. I had an intense mole removal procedure during which she left in the middle of the procedure to go get a glass of water. I was left in the room with a hole in my chest while listening to the assistant complain about not getting her lunch break. After my procedure healed, I was left with a giant scare that other dermatologists said was unacceptable.

My experience with Dr. Fu was about as far different — 180 degrees worth — from Sarah R.‘s experience as you could get. After signing in I waited only 2 – 3 minutes before being called in to the examination room, where after being interviewed by their nurse about my general medical condition, Dr. Fu entered about 2 minutes later. I should note that Dr. Fu entered my examination room at my exact appointment time. After exchanging pleasantries about our respective families, weather, and vacation plans(leading to a very relaxed encounter), Dr. Fu began her complete exam. Having many moles I see Dr. Fu every 6 – 12 months on a regular basis, and she has always been upfront and open with explanations and answers to my questions concerning my skin. Dr. Fu conducted the exam in a pleasant and professional manner, and explained what had(or had not) changed since my previous exam, and pointed out areas that needed watching over the next months until the next regularly scheduled exam. The entire exam took only 10 minutes no time during which was Dr. Fu ever anything but very nice, smiling, and engaging. At the end of the exam she pointed me to the reception for check-out and payment, and this transaction went smoothly and rapidly. The receptionist then told me that I did not need to call them back for the next appointment as she said that they would call me in 10 months to set up the next appointment date at my convenience sometime within 11 – 12 months from now. Top marks to Dr. Fu and her practice for providing a professional and satisfying patient experience for me.

Terrible experience. I have never written a review for an actual doctor before, but this was so bad, it was unbelievable to me. I went in for a «skin cancer check» and to ask some questions about a couple of bumps on my shoulder. 1) I waited for over an hour in the patient room. 2) I was dressed in a paper gown that ripped every time I moved. 3) When Dr. Fu walked in, she opened the door wide open from the hallway — she held up her notebook in front of my face so no one walking by the hall could see my face — but they COULD see me barely clad in a paper gown. 4) When she did the examination, she ripped the paper gown away from that part of the body until I was nearly naked at the end, in a shredded paper gown. It was the most insulting physical examination I’ve ever experienced. 5) She spent less than 5 minutes with me, and when I expressed some concerns about some bumps on my skin, she said, «It’s fine» and walked out before I could ask her to elaborate. I will NEVER return to Dr. Fu. Poor service, poor examination, non-existent bedside manner. I don’t ask for much from doctors — respect and answers to my questions. Dr. Fu provided none of that.
