You know you are in for an eventful stay when all of the workers are dressed in their every day clothes, that is to say no uniforms. Just jeans and tees for everyone. I guess casual Friday overtook the other six days. The entire front lobby smells like an overly chlorinated high school pool due to the swimming facilities in the next room. I actually prefer this smell over the reeking smell of smoke that was in my non-smoking room. You could actually see nicotine stains on the lampshade… in the NON-smoking room. Thought I would mention that this was the non-smoking room again. I had family in another room and while we were hanging out there the smoke detector started its systematic beeping to let you know the battery needed changing. We call the front desk and a few minutes later one of the workers appeared. She came in, listened for the beep and then left saying she didn’t know why it was beeping even after we told her we thought it needed a new battery. She comes back, drags a table over, climbs on top and removes the battery and left again to look for a replacement. She returns and informs us that there aren’t any more batteries and just leaves an exposed hole in the ceiling where the smoke detector should be hanging but is now sitting disabled on the table that she just got done standing on that she never moved back or cleaned! It stayed that way til we checked out the next day. How’s that for safety and customer service!
