Soyphisticated Candles supplies individuals and businesses with fine, handmade soy candles, handmade artisan soap, handmade organic body products and more. We have been impressing people around the world with our wonderful products since 2002.

History

Established in 2002.

Begun by an artist piano teacher as an idea for Christmas gifts for family in 2001, and started as a home business and website in 2002, word quickly got around the community that we were soon to open a small retail shop attached to our candle studio in downtown Mason City in order to facilitate wholesale orders of our candles. Since then, we have experienced growth and have come to be known as the place to go for something unusual and wonderful. We are now located in an eclectic ‘triangular’ building next door to the Prairie Playground and historic East Park on East State Street in Mason City, Iowa. Fabulous handmade soap and organic lotions and balms are other specialties we are known for.

Business Owner

Camille is a graduate of Iowa State University, with a BFA degree in Art and Design. Jobs over the years have included being a studio assistant to a fine artist, working in an art gallery and frame shop, teaching art classes for children and adults, bench jeweler, piano teacher and business owner of Soyphisticated Candles since 2002.
