Specialties

On April 1st, 2015, we reopened our bright new gallery space at 20 North Street, still in Mashpee Commons, next door to Unique Boutique.

Come explore Cape Cod’s most unique shopping experience and New England’s largest selection of kaleidoscopes, a retail store featuring kaleidoscopes in all prices by 35+ professional kaleidoscope artists from throughout the country. Their kaleidoscopes are handcrafted in wood, glass, metal and mixed media, and are available in everything from pocket-sized teleidoscopes to large sculptural one-of-a-kind collectibles. You’ll simply be amazed by the variety, creativity, and masterful workmanship.

We also carry many «kaleidoscope inspired» gifts such as jewelry, Sand Art, glass mosaic mirrors, etc., as well as gift cards in any denomination.

Since we first opened at Mashpee Commons in April 2010, we’ve become the go-to shop for unique memorable ideas for wedding gifts, corporate gifts, and for the people who are tough to shop for.

We offer free gift-wrapping, and we ship worldwide. Make sure to join our generous Rewards Program, whereby for every $ 400 you spend, you earn a $ 50 Reward!

History

Established in 2010.

In 2010, Suzanne opened Cape Kaleidoscopes at Mashpee Commons in Mashpee (Cape Cod), Massachusetts with the assistance of her husband, Artist-in-Residence, Jon Greene, who has handcrafted his line of kaleidoscopes, Chesnik Scopes, since 1990.

In addition to toy kaleidoscopes and kits for kids 3+, Suzanne now carries about 30 lines of handcrafted kaleidoscopes in all media (wood, glass, metal, etc.) that range from $ 15 to large, one-of-a-kind collectible pieces of «interactive art». They will truly amaze and astound!

She also carries several lines of handcrafted jewelry, plus 5 lines of «kaleidoscope inspired» handcrafted gifts, a few lines of glass art, and a very full & popular line of Sand Art pieces, each of which can be calibrated for speed and create a different image every single time!

Suzanne and Jon G.

Business Owner

For 18 years, Suzanne Greene designed, created and marketed SUZKNITS, her line of outerwear/accessories. She uses her retail and marketing background to run Cape Kaleidoscopes, where her husband, Jon, is the Artist-in-Residence.

Janice & Ray Chesnik, started Chesnik Scopes in 1980. Her son, Jon Greene, joined them in 1990. Their kaleidoscopes have been sold at wholesale to fine shops throughout the U.S., Japan & Canada. When the Chesniks retired, Jon took over the business, and has since also taken on corporate orders.
