History

Established in 2006.

Barbara Notarius, Author of «How to Open Your Own Bed & Breakfast”(Irwin) decided that she wanted to ‘slow down’ having opened her first Inn in Westchester County NY in 1981. With her husband Steve Lefton, they moved to the Upper Cape and purchased property. Barbara and Steve then built an Inn to be «dog friendly!» Our land abuts Ashumet Pond which has a sandy bottom and is almost one mile wide. Guests may bring their doggies to our freshwater pond and enjoy a day of ‘in the water,’ something all dogs just love! Barbara has now retired and Steve L is now the Owner/​Innkeeper. His specialty is accessorizing the two suites with just about anything you might imagine a b&b would place in a suite. When he is not out umpiring youth baseball, he is often out on the pond in his Hobie 16.
