Nimble-Thimble

Loved this place. My mother in law recommended I go here to get my bridesmaid dress altered. It was pretty minor and easy things to fix but there was no way I could have done it. I needed it ready in about 6 days. The lady that took my measurements and did the altering was so nice and pleasant :) it fit perfectly and exactly how I wanted. I would absolutely come back here. The men who worked there were also just as nice.

I have had many uniforms taken care of at this shop, and he has always done the job right and in a timely manner.
In response to Lucy — they aren’t all male uniforms. Us ladies bring ours as well, and he does a marvelous job every time.

I thought this guys was great. So nice and will work as fast as he can to fit your schedule. They are cash only IF you are under $ 25, if over they DO take credit cards. I thought he did a great job and is located in convenient place. Would recommend!

Caters primarily to Beale Air Force Base military men. Uniform alterations, military embroidery, affixing of badges, etc.
What happened was I bought a couple of tank dresses that I felt needed the straps shortened. I tried to do it myself on my sewing machine and messed it up and called Nimble Thimble to see if I might have someone do a better job.
The proprietor dropped what he was doing and fixed the mess I made of the straps while I waited. It took him around 15 minutes and he charged me only 4 bucks!
I will probably not return as I don’t think his specialty is womens-​type alterations. I mean, I could be wrong, but there were several articles of clothing out waiting to be picked up and none of them were women’s. There was a row of men’s military uniforms behind the counter as examples of the work he does.
He had a number of baseball caps with embroidered initials, etc., so he apparently does very nice embroidery.
So if you need a badge put on, need to order team baseball hats, or something like that which needs embroidery type stitching, this place would be perfect.
Even though I won’t go back, I’m giving it four stars as he was accomodating, inexpensive, and appears to do a good job.
