History

Established in 2013.

We were looking to provide a cozy social place in Martinsburg, WV where people could come, sit a spell while enjoying a great meal and a drink. The décor is a nod to the old Appalachian Moonshiners and bootleggers of yesteryear.

A touch divey, but the friendly staff and AWESOME food more than compensated. The Sriracha burger and the Bootlegger burger were extremely good and large!
Onion ring appetizers were real and delicious. The fried pickles were pretty darn good too!
We will definitely be back!

I have to admit; the burger was one of the best I have had in a long time! I had lost my faith in hamburgers lately but the one I had at the Copper Still was great! Thick juicy burger, perfect taste and the bun was perfect. I wish I lived in the area so I could go get another one right now! I admit was not very impressed with the place from the start. The parking lot was empty at 6:30 pm (bad sign) and then the inside had that feeling that this is a locals only place and I have no business in here. Good thing I didn’t turn around and leave (which I have done before). I will be back next time I am in town for sure.

This is my favorite place to eat in Martinsburg! The food is fantastic and so are the drinks! They have paint nights once a month, trivia Tuesday’s, taco Wednesday’s, steak Friday’s. Just wish I could bring my kid with me and we would come more often!

Was in the area on travel from NJ and found this spot using Unilocal.We stopped in on a Sunday, everyone was really nice and the burger and mozz sticks were great. Great service, great (reasonably priced) food, and Sunday football. Can’t ask for much more.

The crab dip tastes like it was reheated from frozen. The burgers were extremely dry. I ordered a burger with bacon and was told they only had bacon bits. The fries were seasoned well, but where not the least crunchy. However, our waitress was very attentive.

This restaurant has been around for a while. Since 2013 it’s been under new management. Its specialty is pub grub. I got the swiss and mushroom burger with onion rings and sweet tea.
This was one of the best burgers that I have eaten in a while! The bun was soft and complemented the burger. The onion rings were really tasty too!
There are several burger options to choose from. If you are ever in the area and want a good burger, do yourself a favor! Stop in and try one!

Kind of a divey little place that seems to be frequented by a bunch of «regulars». We stopped in for lunch, and the burgers were very good and very large! Service was quick and friendly. Not a «knock your socks off» type of place, but the food was very good.

We really enjoyed this. It’s a bar — with a totally non-​fancy interior, but the food and super friendly service lived up to the reviews. Colossal burgers and a great price. Even with a drink each our bill for 2 was under $ 25. A refreshing change for this city girl.

Unilocaled this place while traveling, it lives up to its rating. Reuben was excellent as was steak & cheese sandwich. My buddy even got an omelet at 9:00 PM that was served with homemade salsa. He said it was delicious. Highly recommend.

Wasn’t quite the «grill» look I expected — more a bar’s bar — but — Friendly folks, great food, great spot for a mushroom and Swiss burger, fries and a drink. Alexa (oh I hope I got her name right) is a total hoot, and makes it fun to be around. Great prices, I’ll be back!

While looking for a place to eat and stretch we stumbled upon this place and what a lovely experience.
I cannot rave enough about the super friendly atmosphere and exceptional service!!! — We stopped in for lunch but after expressing my dispointment about missing breakfast and the biscuits and gravy, our amazing waitress Alexa ordered for me. (She makes the gravy by the way and it’s a whole lot of love and goodness in a generous portion of thick, creamy white sausage gravy over a moist buiscuit; yummm!)
Ohh, my husband had the French dip and he said it was very good. Again, another generous serving and the price were great.
So! Stop in, have some good food and make a friend. ;)

By far one of the best places to have a good time. The bar tender, Wendy, makes the place feel like a second home and the DJ is on point. The food is the best part though. It is delicious and inexpensive. It’s always a good time there and Wendy is so attentive to her customers. It definitely deserves five stars
