Not much I can day, YUM!!! Fresh and delicious. Very friendly staff. Very busy when we were there, still had my food very quick with out being rushed.

Fresh(let me emphasize that, as they have no freezers or microwaves) food, prepared right in front of you. Dine in and take out, great prices, friendly folks. If there’s a drawback it is that there is rarely consistency in preparation of some items. I like my food a certain way, and loading up the burrito with tons of rice and beans just to bulk it up is not really my idea of a great meal. But the food is tasty, with options all along the prep bar. Very worth a quarter in the meter.

I had a beef burrito, and it was unseasoned ground beef. It didn’t taste like anything. It wasn’t ready when they said it would be & they«ran out» of rice. 25+ mins to make a burrito, seems like the perfect amount of time to MAKEMORERICE! I would understand it if they were busy, but they weren’t. Not authentic at all. Thought it would be better. Really disappointed.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Locally sourced with friendly people. Could definitely use a weekend of updates and a deep clean: replace burnt light bulbs, light maintenance and such. Also add some Mexican music! Sirius is only $ 10 a month and would definitely add some ambiance

What’s not to like. Chipotle style menu served up with larger portions. Clean. Friendly. Pretty much a local take on a big chain and they offer up a decent meal. Some of the meats are Americanized with things like ground beef, but hey, nothing wrong with that. Nothing authentic, but pretty good.

Habanero deserves some credit for trying to bring good ol’ Mission-style burritos to downtown Martinsburg, as there is no Chipotle, Moe’s, Qdoba’s or whatever chain in sight. While there are plenty of Mexican restaurants around, none of them really stand out in quality or innovation and I’m not aware of any that have Mission-style burritos. The easiest way to review Habanero is to compare it to its franchised kindred, such as Chipotle. The menu is limited in the same way as other burrito places, and could pass as that of a food truck; that’s not a knock on them. They know what they want to make and stick to it. I’m a little concerned for the future of the business as a Chipotle is in fact coming to town on Foxcroft in the near future and Habanero may lose some of their customer base if they don’t do something to set themselves apart. For now, they make«good» burritos, but they aren’t special and don’t stand out as better than the chains. Of course, one of things that’s made Chipotle and the like so successful is their use of fresh ingredients, so it’s not the easiest to one-up. As for food in the area currently, however, Habanero is one of the few options that I consistently consider. It’s good food, which is more than can be said for most places in Martinsburg.

Delicious. My favorite thing are the beef tacos. Service is always friendly and fast! Try the Jamaica tea… it’s more of a hibiscus tea and just right!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Eat here 1 – 3 times a week. Great food always fresh, with a friendly staff. My only complaint is the only have pork on Tuesday and it’s the best and they should make it an everyday item. How hard is it to cook pork everyday? Not exactly sure. Also the kids cheese quesadilla is just over $ 3.00 without chips and a drink. I think with chips and drink, it’s like $ 5.95 which should be like $ 3.95– $ 4.95. Very pricey for kids food. Just for the kids cheese quesadilla it should be $ 2 or under considering the cost. Now I just feed my kids pizza before I go there. So I can enjoy my meal without feeling like I paid too much for my kid’s meals. A slice of pizza is like $ 2 or less.

Basically another version of Chipotle/Qdoba/Moe’s. You walk up to a counter. Give your order from the list on the wall. They start building and as you move along you pick your toppings working your way to the register. Food was decent. Hubby and I both got burritos. Rice was not as good as Chipotle. Black beans were fine. Refried beans were rather bland. I got«mild salsa» aka pico de gallo, fine. Hubby got the extra hot. We were excited that there was an extra hot salsa option. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to it’s name. Fine taste, decent kick, but not«extra hot.» All other topping were fine. Nothing of note good or bad. Neither of us got the guac because it looked kinda brown. My chicken burrito had a nice char flavor to the meat. My hubby’s steal burrito had very bland meat. Both were HUGE. We couldn’t finish them. We also got an order of chips & queso. Queso was good not wow. Same with the chips. All in all good not wow. We’d eat here again as an alternative to fast food. It beats McDonalds but not Chipotle, Qdoba or Moe’s.

Absolutely wonderful food. Who needs chipotle when we have habanero? We have eaten here numerous times and are never disappointed. Burritos, salads, you name it we’ve eaten and enjoyed it at habanero

Not as good as Chipotle in my opinion, but that’s mine. You should go at least once to decide on your own. I think it’s a decent option compared to fast food. It is a casual place to get quick Mexican style food. And the staff is friendly and the price normal.

Habanero is just okay. In comparison to Chipotle, Habanero has a better menu, with way more options. They don’t charge extra for guacamole, however they do charge extra if you get fajita veggies on your burrito. The staff is not very friendly. Lots of their food(the shredded yellow cheese, the ground beef, the flour tortillas on soft tacos) tastes too Americanized rather than Mexican.

TASTELESS. On my way back to Cali today. Thank god! A soft taco shouldn’t be a flour tortilla. And the beef is hamburger. I can’t believe there isn’t even a pork option. This place is owned by a Mexican, allegedly. Ha!

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Martinsburg. I eat here at least once a week. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and will fix your food how you like it. Large servings are usually more than one person can eat. You better be hungry if you order their burritos.

Anybody who tries to compare this place or say it’s not as good as Chipotle is clearly dillusional. The staff is really cool and funny, the burritos are fantastically made(and I dare say are larger than Chipotle’s), and their queso dip is awesome. It’s good to see places like this thrive.

Way better than chipotle! I question anyone who thinks otherwise. Come on, people… Chipotle is run by the same people who run Mcdonalds. Chances are, you’re not eating cow, you’re eating a dog… and some rat poop. I love this place. There are way more options than chipotle, and you’re served way more food. I’ve always hated how at chipotle when you ask for extra meat they charge you some ungodly amount, and throw three more pieces on. Last time we were at Habenero, my girlfriend ordered the burrito, and it was gigantic. I usually get the taco salad, which is great. Something about the taco shell is just so delectable. When I was on my vegetarian kick, I ordered it with tofu, and was surprised that the tofu was actually cooked quite well. Now, however, I get it with steak, and it’s even better. They just pile the steak right on there. It’s great. I usually get an order of guac, chips, and queso as well. I love love love their queso! It’s very yummy. The only thing unappetizing about this place is the crack heads and meth addicts chillin’ on the corner, but I suppose that can’t be helped. Steer clear of a window seat.

Wow! I never expected to find such delicious food with vegetarian options in Martinsburg. I love it here and I have every intention of coming back! The ingredients are so fresh, and your nachos/tacos/burritos/quesadillas are assembled with care. For every menu item, there are the usual beef/chicken/pork choices, but for us vegetarians, there are great options like tofu, mushroom and fajita veggies! Score. Service is friendly and prompt. Highly recommend! — - - Wow!

I could make this review simple and easy by saying this is a locally owned version of a Chipotle grill, which would be partially true. But then, that would sell them short. Habanero grill is MUCH better than my beloved Chipotle… You are taken care of individually here. In fact, they’ll probably remember what you order most… When they assemble your custom dish in front of you, it is done with care. My favorite dish is the Nachos. They’ll put some chips in the basket, sprinkle some cheese, ad more chips, more cheese, and so on. The Jalapeños are fresh, not pickled, and there are handfuls of fresh cilantro available. Free refillable soda cup with Military ID. Nice
