Our students ages 3 and up learn life skills, leadership skills, bullying prevention, and self-​defense with a structured curriculum taught by nationally-​certified instructors. Our programs for Tiny Tigers (ages 3 – 6) and Juniors (7 – 12) teach focus and confidence, and we reward positive behavior in and out of class. Our programs for teens and adults improve fitness and develop self-​defense proficiency. Classes are safe, friendly, fun and challenging. We were voted «Best Martial Arts in the Bay» by readers of the San Francisco Chronicle three years in a row. Master Schreiber’s ATA Martial Arts is a licensed member of the American Taekwondo Association, the world’s largest centralized martial arts organization. All instructors complete a minimum of three years of instructor training and teach over 300 hours before earning instructor certification. Master Jordan Schreiber is a 7th degree black belt who has been training for over 30 years (having started as a karate kid in 1982) and teaching for more than 25 years.

Master Schreiber’s ATA Martial Arts is a licensed member of the American Taekwondo Association, the world’s largest centralized martial arts organization and pioneer in the development of the «Karate for Kids» curriculum. All instructors complete a minimum of three years of instructor training and teach over 300 hours before earning instructor certification.

Meet the Business Owner

Jordan S.

Business Owner

Master Jordan Schreiber is a 7th degree black belt who has been training for over 30 years and teaching for more than 25 years.

He has developed a life skills and leadership skills curriculum that draws on both his extensive martial arts experience and his elite education: He has a BA from Harvard, a JD (magna cum laude) from Harvard Law School, and a PhD from Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.

Master Schreiber’s passion for serving children springs from his upbringing in an family that included 14 children, 10 of them adopted. He is the President and founder of Team PRIDE, a nonprofit organization that uses martial arts to help at-​risk kids succeed in school and in life.

Master Schreiber has been featured in The Contra Costa Times, and the San Francisco Chronicle. In 2007, he was named «Best Citizen in the East Bay» by the East Bay Express. In 2008, his approach to instruction was highlighted by the George Lucas Educational Foundation as an example of what works in education.
