Not an IHOP fan at all, but came to donate for Children’s Hospital in their annual«free pancake» fundraiser. Today, the food was actually pretty good for the type of place IHOP is. I had pancakes and hubby had chicken crepes and we were pleasantly surprised. It’s been almost 2 years since we stopped because the last IHOP was less than impressive… So, for IHOP… it was pretty good. Have to say though(outside of Samson at Steamboat-Concord), our waiter, Roberto was awesome. What a pleasant employee. Not only did he make appropriate work conversation as far as being our server, he went out of his way to actually make human conversations and left us with a positive interaction. He was prompt, on top of things(even when super busy) and went the extra mile in helping us package up our to-go items. It was a good IHOP visit.

The food was good and friendly service too. A deal with their never ending coffee pot. As much free coffee as you can drink. I recommend the Big Steak Omelette, or the Chicken Florentine Crepes. Both are delicious, and the omelette comes with your choice of side: pancakes, or hash browns. It’s more than enough food. I took a box home and had another meal later. A great value.

Came here for breakfast. First we sat for 10min before a server even came to our table. She didn’t seem like she was listening to our order because kept getting it wrong. So I ordered a Pepsi. My brother got coffee. She says waiting on glasses for my drink. Hell if I new how long it would take to wash a glass I could of used a Togo cup. My food came no drink. Then mgr brought my soda rudely said sorry didn’t take it off my bill. Plus my eggs so undercooked couldn’t eat them. Mgr and 2 guys in the front just standing around with their hands in their pockets. prob never eat here again.

I usually don’t want to go to Ihop! They one on Clayton Road smells like dog ***! When my family said were going to I hop, I was a little disappointed; however, I just went along since I was really hungry. I’ve changed my thinking about this establishment today. Breakfast was quick and delicious this morning. Our waiter(Memo) was friendly, speedy and made sure everything was okay. We had a party of six, and we was in and out in less than an hour. Everything came out hot and tasty. This is the best Ihop ever! Keep up the good work, and send the your cleaning crew to the Clayton location.

Came here on 11−1−15 and was pretty disappointed. Service was poor. It took 10 mins for the waitress to show up and another 10 mins to get coffee although everyone else had coffee. had basic breakfast with bacon eggs and pancakes. pancakes were room temp and waitress never brought condiments after I requested them. why is it so hard to serve hot pancakes. not crowded enough to explain poor service.

It’s dinner hour, 5:30 p.m. Only 1 employee on duty that is hostess, cashier and server. Dining room has people already seated. I tell server how many people in our party and that we already know what we want to order. She mumbled something but not quite sure what was said. She walks by the table at least 6 times but does not seem interested in our order. After waiting a bit longer and watching this single server/cashier/hostess play busy, we get up and walk out disgusted. Poor management at this IHOP location.

I call to place an order for pick up and they don’t have what I want anymore, so I tell them I’ll call back in a few minuets with my order and they completely dodge the phone for 20 minuets. Why even work here if your not gonna serve anyone… Manager needs to find out about this

Good was okay, service was extremely good for how short staffed they seemed to be.

We went here for breakfast and both food and service was very good… I love their crunchie pancakes, sausage and eggs over easy… I see a lot of negative posts but I can honestly say that my wife and I really enjoyed the food and prompt, attentive service… Almost forgot… I left my prescription sunglasses their… came back 2 days later and they had saved them…

I have been to this IHOP quite a few times in the last month, and my experiences have ranged but they are mostly good. One of the reasons we have bee n coming here is it’s actually cheaper than going to Denny’s, but their menus are pretty much mirror images. I also love the fact that they give you a pickle spear whenever you order a burger. As per usual I get a burger or sandwich a majority of the time, and usually get a side of fries or onion rings. The burger has tasted pretty darn good a few of the times, and others it has been either over cooked or they didn’t have normal size burgers so they used two junior burgers. It was a nice thought but still not the same. The onion rings and fries have always been good however. Last night I went for something completely out of my element at these places and ordered the Chicken Parmesan. I loved they it came with a side salad, and the chicken wasn’t too bad. The pasta was quite undercooked though. The service can be great or iffy, depending on the time of day usually. If you go in the early morning or afternoon the service is spot on, but if you go later in the day it can be pretty bad. Last night the place wasn’t packed but there were still a few tables full, and they had one guy waiting on them all. Being understaffed sucks, and sadly it resulted in us eating our dinner with stacks of our empty dishes for a view. I still much prefer IHOP over Denny’s.

We went here today for Mother’s Day. Despite the huge crowd, they managed to find a table for eight of us after pushing 2 together as soon as possible. And while the food took long, they were kind enough to continuously apologize and update us.

So I went here with a birthday coupon. The coupon I printed out from the email apparently didn’t had all the info they needed. I was disappointed because they did not make any effort to help the situation. The print out clearly stated what the coupon was for. Better customer service would be great.

Pancakes are the only thing you should EVER get here. The eggs aren’t even real eggs. My cousin worked there and it’s this weird mix that looks like juice. DONOTEATHERE. After an undercooked burger and a quesadilla that tasted like plastic cheese, I have concluded that this place is horrible. NEVERAGAIN.

This IHOP knows zero about the CITYORDINANCE about bags. The female manager seems to think it is CA State law not to use bags. She is rude and negligent in satisfying customers needs. If you decide to get a togo order please bring serveral extra arms because they do not provide bags as the city requires all food establishment to SELL reusable bags if they are not going to have paper bags availabe. I have been going here for years and because of this manager service has gone down drastically.

Ok its an IHOP so my hopes were not high. The service was pretty good and overall the restaurant seemed very clean. The meal came out quickly but unfortunately the food was not that great. As some of the previous reviews have said the food was blah and I wholeheartedly agree. The bacon was undercooked the hash browns even though I asked for extra crispy were almost raw except for the top which was brown my pancakes were actually pretty good. My Pepsi was completely gross and over carbonated the waitress took it back and said they change the mix brought me a new one however it tasted exactly the same. I got my Pepsi exchange for a Dr Pepper which was slightly better but still had a terrible mix on the syrup and tasted very watery. I don’t really plan on returning the food was just not worth the money. I’m giving two stars only for the service the food would probably be negative one star

This is the WORST place imaginable. Service was terrible, food was terrible and its a rip off. My friend ordered the turkey dinner. It looked liked someone had hacked away at the turkey and it came without gravy. When we finally tackled the waitress she said if she wanted gravy, she’d have to pay 1.50 for it. Can u believe that? A turkey dinner with no gravy! Thieves! They like to ‘extra’ you to make more money off you. My other friend ordered an omelette and had to pay extra for toast and then they just bring out one piece of dry toast. When she asked for some butter, the waitress says more jam??? To top it off, there’s a guy washing the floor in the entrance and we were practically gagging on the overwhelming bleach fumes. Just what u need while eating. The place was half empty and now I know why. Eat anywhere else but stay away from this place.

I reeeeeally want to give them more stars but I just can’t. Food was blah. My bacon temptation omelet was good but nothing to «rave» about. The bacon was very thin, maybe that’s why they say there are 6 slices of it in the omelet., tasted ok. My daughter had the create a face pancake. Comes with 2 syrup soaked strawberries for the eyes and 5 or so small banana slices for the mouth and a bit of whipped cream for nose(already added) and you get a go-gurt type yogurt tube which is for the hair or ears or moustache as it was used for that for my daughters face. She liked it. Bathrooms were clean but lack a clean fresh look. Service was slow. Not a place I’ll come back to when wanting breakfast in this area of Martinez next time.

Bleh. I’m always disappointed with this place, and I will never go again after this last time. I ordered an omelette with veggies and spinach, what I received was a plate of half cooked spinach with some egg. I know spinach is spinach, but wow. Cook it first! I know food never really looks like the picture on the menu, but the menu at least showed cooked spinach. My fiancée had a very upset stomach after his omelette also. The service was ok this time, but has always been sub par every other time. The coffee is also completely flavorless.

I would not even give them 1 Star but that is not an option here on Unilocal.I will put it to you simple… DONOTEATHEREUNLESSYOULIKETHETASTEOFMOLD!!! My BF ordered a House Salad and ¾ of the way through eating it he found dark mold on the onions in his salad. He went up to the«manager» and showed him the mold. The«manager» simply shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. My BF pointed out the mold and the«manager» again shrugged his shoulders like it was nothing. He also commented that his drink was empty the whole time also. It took another employee who witnessed what had happened to call another«manager» over. End result… a comp’d $ 3 salad
