EA Motors

I live in Santa Cruz. I needed used car for my wife and inexpensive one. I was searching online for European cars. They are very reliable and we have had only European and Japanese cars last 10 – 12 years.
WHEN IT COMES TO DEALERSHIPS THEY CHARGE A LOT MORE THAN VALUE BUT EA MOTORS CARS WERE REALLY GREAT PRICE. When I searched on Craigslist I saw their ad on Craigslist. I didn’t want to drive 1.5 hours just for one car. I asked them if I could see more than one car. Owner was very nice on the phone responded very nicely .
I made an appointment on Sunday and drove over there. They usually close at 6 – 7 pm on Sundays. I was thinking I will get there on time around 5 pm. Because of heavy traffic on highway 17 I got there at 6. I called and told him If its ok we can change appointment time to six o’clock and I explained the situation .
He was very easy going and helpful .
when we got there he had all 3 cars out and ready for us to test drive. We test drove 3 Volvos. We have a new born and I wanted something safe for her.
My wife drove Volvo S40, Volvo S60 and Volvo XC90 SUV one.
Unfortunately she didn’t like any of them. I wanted to get something for her she will feel comfortable with.
Volvo XC90 was too big for her. Volvo S60 was too long and she didn’t like the color on S40.
We saw really nice Volkswagen Passat. I already wasted a lot of his time.
I asked can we drive that one too.
He pulled out from the garage and let us drive the car.
My wife really liked the car and price was really good. But It was too dark to see the car from outside very well in the day light.
I made a second appointment with him for the next Sunday.
I gave him small deposit and left.
We called him next Saturday and made an appointment for Sunday.
This time we learned the lesson and left early.
We got there around 3 pm and same as last time our car was ready up front. We both drove that car .
I am usually not a picky person but this car was for my wife and I wanted to get for her the one she likes.
I am a business owner I know customers are always right but wasting business owners time its not the best thing to do.
He was really nice about that .
One of the best things I liked about EA Motors When we gave him very small deposit next day ad was removed from internet.
After we decided we want to get that car everything was really easy. He got paperwork done for us within 15 mins. We saved almost 2000 dollars on that car compare to other dealers. I loved the deal.
We paid for it and left. Since then we loved the car.
We bought that car last year in the beginning of October.
Reason I am writing this review because I was looking for the same business to find their phone number. I don’t think there was Unilocal page for them.
In couple weeks we are going to get our second car from him.
I called him today and he was as nice as he was last time.
He gets a lot of customers but he still remembered us.
I will visit his dealership in couple of weeks. I will post my next experience with him.

DO NOT BUY ANY VEHICLES FROM HERE. Owner, Elshan Hasanov, sold me a 2003 VW Jetta (86,000 miles) for $ 6000. I was in need of a car after my Honda was totaled. So, I searched on craigslist and found this car advertised for $ 5500. I called the individual without knowing it was a dealership. Nonetheless I made an appointment to test drive it the following morning. That individual never showed up. So, I called the number posted on the wall for EA Motors. The owner, Elshan, came over and explained this had been a problem with that employee of making morning appointments and not showing up… ok, already bad business but i still gave it a chance. I test drove it and it felt good. So I gave him a small deposit so I can pick it up within 3 days. I needed to bring another person since this business wasn’t close to public transportation so someone needed to drive my car back. It was an extremely busy time for me with school and finals. And I was desperate for a car since my rental was about to expired. I couldn’t get a friend to accompany me.
So, Elshan agreed to meet me at Concord bart. I told Elshan to come with me to the bank to provide him with the payment. He drove the car and I sat in the passenger sit. The car was shaking. I knew he acknowledged. Also, the ENGINE LIGHT came on! He gave me the excuse that his partner had put a lower class gas and that may have been the problem since these cars need higher premium gas. I felt this was a bad idea to buy it, but I was by myself, without a car, and felt a bit trapped and desperate for a car. Elshan promised me he would fix it. He put on the agreement form that he was going to fix the engine light problem. So, this gave me a little hope as I drove away with a shaking car, with the engine light one!
I took the car again and he tested it and said he would have to order the parts. So I drove to Martinez from Oakland and the car still not fixed. I decided to take it to a trusted mechanic. He did the test and said ALL the COILS needed replacement, and that it wasn’t safe to drive for a long period of time. I was worried. So I didn’t drive the car, and this prevented me from celebrating thanksgiving since I was gonna take a long drive!
I called Elshan about what the mechanic said and he was upset saying that he had promised to fix it and the already knew the problem. So, i took it to Elshan again and he only changed 2 coils!!! He said that is the only two that show up on his computer. He also admitted it was expensive to replace all six! I didn’t argue much! As soon as I got home, 40 minutes later, the damn engine light come on! I called and Elshan agreed that all may need to be changed! So i was scheduled to come in Friday morning, but he text me Thursday night saying that they had sent the wrong parts!!! He said he would call me when he got the right parts. He didn’t call me!!! I had to follow up after a week. He then sent me to one of his mechanics to make sure the coils is the problem. I went to see Carlos at Lafayette German Car Repair. He seem nice and noticed all coils needed changing. So, I then drove to Martinez to have Elshan change the coils! Finally, all the coils where changed. The next day, the engine light come on!!! I call Elshan and he wouldn’t answer. I took it to Carlos again and he said it needed a $ 700 repair. I call Elshan and his response was that he had done his job that he didn’t give me a lifetime warranty. He also said the problem Carlos mentioned was not there when the car was sold. He would not take the car back, nor would he fix it. I am still dealing with this damn car. It has been a nightmare. I have wasted time, money, and too much stress. I was desperate and trusted Elshan’s word. In the earlier period when I bought it, he also had mentioned that it was only money that he would give me my money back if I was not satisfied or that I could return it to buy another car from him. Well, he went on his word again. He wouldn’t take the car back and give me my money. And i refuse to replace it with another of his damn cars!
I also tried calling Carlos again to find out what the problem he had diagnosed. I just wanted this information so i can go to another mechanic for a second opinion. BUt he never returned my call. Also don’t go to Lafayette German Car Repair with Carlos. He also works at another shop in Walnut Creek. He is Elshan’s mechanic, so they seem to be on the same dishonest business!
Plus, I can’t even sell the car because it has been close to 2 months, and i haven’t receive DMV registration!
DO NOT BUY CARS FROM ELSHAN and don’t take your car to Lafayette German Car Repair with Carlos at 3328 Mount Diablo Boulevard, Lafayette, CA 94 549
