History

Established in 2009.

Our journey to the breathtaking mountains of the Carolina’s began nine years ago, and it is a dream come true. It was time to get away from the

cold and fast pace of the Mid-West and create our year round Timber Frame home. We live in RiverDance full-time and are looking forward to

having you as our guest. The idea from the start was to share RiverDance with others who want to venture out and explore all that Western North Carolina has to offer.

Meet the Business Owner

Callie and Dave W.

Business Owner

We are excited to be in Western North Carolina, especially when each morning we wake up to the sound of the river, and scenery that just takes your breath away. As Dave and I say to one another all the time, «we aren’t in Illinois any more.» We have left the flatlands of the Mid-West behind, and feel that Madison County has really become home.

Our roots are in Iowa, Illinois and Michigan, so this is all new territory for our family of four, plus of course our Boxer Midge. We have two boys, Kyle and Daniel who are both college students in Tennessee. We love working on RiverDance and have done much of the flooring, trim work, and landscaping.

Our home has been a dream that has been in the making for the past nine years. We feel blessed to be in such a beautiful place where we have the best of two worlds; being surrounded by mountains and within the sound/sight of the Laurel River. We definitely are in the heart of «the Jewel of the Blue Ridge».
