Specialties
If you are visiting the nearby wineries stop by for something to eat before you head out. We have an everyday lunch menu and offer lunch specials Wednesday thru Saturday. Friday and Saturday night we have dinner specials. Usually two or thre options and limited supply. You are welcome to stay and relax or have a meal to go.
We have an ABC On&Off permit for beer and wine, so you can have a glass or bottle of various beer and wine options.
So basically we have a lot of fresh food made for those of you on the run or who want to sit and relax a bit.
One thing to keep in mind is that we are not a full serve restaurant, but we are happy to plate you up and have you dine in. Come and enjoy the locals and their flavor.
History
Established in 1900.
It’s believed that the village of Orlean was named after Andrew Jackson’s victory in 1815 at the Battle of New Orleans. The Orlean Store is located at the corner of Routes 688 and 732 in Fauquier County during the late 1800’s. The market has served the community for many years.
Orlean is the quintessential small village situated in the heart of Virginia’s Piedmont country with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The town is located about 15 miles northwest of Warrenton you can find this community hub for fox hunters, bicyclists, motorcyclists, hikers, musicians trail riders and neighbors find common ground at the Orlean Market. Community maintains that eclectic mix.
Beyond the sale of food and drinks, one of the more important benefits of the market’s rebirth is the installation of functioning gas pumps. The nearest gas station is over five miles away.
