The Studio

Stopped in for a pedi after 3 days of camping and was able to score an appt that day. The service was fantastic, got a great pedicure and some local advice on places to check out while I am here. I highly recommend this place for any service! They also carry great products!

I am very particular about my hair. I often have something specific in mind and I was so impressed with how Mary nailed it! She pays a lot of attention to detail to ensure she gets the cut right & how you like it. She gives great hair tips. She’s also very pleasant to talk with & seems to really enjoy what she does. I’ve frequented salons, usually upscale, all over the midwest & I believe Mary is one of the best.

Terrible. I haven’t been to this salon since last year. Still when I’m swapping horror stories about salon experiences this is by far the worse. The stylist cut my hair crooked and was rushed. Waxed my brows super thin when I slecifically said I like them thicker. They also had gaps where the hair was waxed completely off. Also, when I went back in to have the owner fix it she ripped my skin off. Literally. They gave me money to buy makeup to cover it up and fill in my brows. Also, they refunded my money after I went in to complain. Regardless I would never go back. As I share my story with friends I hear more and more negative experiences from others. I like to be honest though so I will tell you I used to work with someone that loves it.

I’m an out of towner on vacation and was extremely happy that I happened upon The Studio. Britt was a great stylist. She gave me a tour of the place, a cup of coffee and we were on our way. She spent quality time listening to what I wanted and asked some great questions. She educated me about products and gave me some of the best instructions on styling my hair yet. She was outgoing and personable. I appreciated her Aveda training background. Honestly, I wish that The Studio was in my area because it was so reasonably priced with great expertise. It is always a risk picking a new salon, but I was delighted to have found Britt. I’d recommend her to anyone in the area. Cute ambiance, too… hip, bright and fun. The exposed brick wall adds some character. Good product line selection, too, in my opinion. Some good promo discounts for first-​timers, as well. This experience was definitely as good as it gets when you’re picking a salon as an out of towner.
