History
Established in 1994.
Founded by John W. Myefski in 1994, the firm’s focus has evolved over its 21-year history to embrace the needs of a myriad of clients. The firm’s technical prowess and design savvy with architecture, urban planning, and interiors draws on John Myefski’s 29 years of experience.
Rooted by John’s leadership acumen — and building on his reputation for modern design — the team at Myefski Architects takes risks and presents endless possibilities in order to create dynamic spaces that champion client goals.
Meet the Business Owner
John M.
Business Owner
In a career spanning more than 30 years, John Myefski worked hard to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to lead an award-winning architectural firm. John earned both his Bachelor and Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan. Most recently, John attended the Northwestern University Executive Education Program. Prior to founding his own architectural design practice 21 years ago, John gained his field experience at highly respected firms like Murphy/Jahn and Albert Kahn.
John’s longtime passion for education has led him to devote a significant amount of time to giving back to the community. Following two years as President, John is currently on the New Trier District Board of Education. His prior board experience includes eight years on the Glencoe School District Board of Education, two of which he served as President. John has also served time as Chairman on the University of Michigan Board of Governors for the College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
