This museum blew me away! Lots of motorcycling history packed wall to wall and throughout the floor. I enjoyed the diversity of bikes and miscellaneous collectables. The folks here are friendly and doing a great job preserving this history. A donation of $ 7 is suggested. They also sell museum related merchandise.(Cash only).

This is a *great* little museum and is definitely worth stopping through if you are in the area. This museum holds about 100 classic, collectible, or otherwise vintage motorcycles, plus a lot of racing memorabilia, mainly from the career of Stan Engdahl, a Marquette resident who raced for several decades on dirt tracks in the area. The museum has a couple of Stan’s motorcycles, and all of his trophies(over 600!), but it’s not just a shrine to Stan’s career — a number of vintage motorcycle collectors have placed their bikes«on loan» to the museum and there are some stunning, fully restored, rare bikes from the early 20th century. There also are interesting displays of racing bikes from the 1960’s and 1970’s, some mini-bikes; and quite a few old photos showing the activities of various Kansas amateur motorcycle racing clubs. Entrance is free; a $ 5 donation is «suggested.» I’m in the area from time to time and I definitely wish I had stopped earlier.
