The food here is alright, the service was friendly and they had a steady stream of people coming in while we were here. It’s close so I’m sure we will be back!

So close from home and one of the best breakfast restaurants i’ve been to. The staff is great and the food is delicious. Their Arnold Benedict is the best. The best of all is you get all this for a very affordable price. This is our typical Sunday morning place.

Tip: Be hungry. Popped in for a weekday breakfast and saw the whole bar/counter area loaded with regulars finishing their coffee. So it’s got to be good. I opted for the day’s «Benedict» special, which turned out to be two fried eggs, two big slices of ham, a sliced tomato on a croissant, with hollandaise sauce poured over the top. It’s a good thing that she brought me the steak knife, because I needed it. Yum. And spicy home fries, which were topped with cracked red pepper. Not really«hot» but they were tasty. A lot of food. And quite good!

Very good for the money. Clean and plea sent atmosphere. Great size in portion and menu selections. Food cooked to order. I would recommend to anyone for a quick and affordable sit in breakfast.

Bad food and horrible service made me wishlist I had gone to dunkin donuts. The ingredients are not fresh. Worst of all the waitresses make you feel as though they don’t care.

Came here with a g/f we had the«normal» breakfast food and a ton a free coffee. Not a bad place if you are in the area and hungry. Seems like the staff isn’t too happy to be there, there isn’t too much going on either. ehhh it okay.

The food isn’t that bad, but I don’t know why it’s so hyped up. I believe the best thing I had there was the, spicy home fries I think it is? The staff is friendly, quick, and helpful about ordering. Yet there isn’t that much too rave about this place, it’s your typical café /breakfast diner. I’ve only been here a couple times, but I much rather go to Jake’s for convenience and food.

So, they don’t have the freshest ingredients but you will get your food quickly, the staff is very nice, and the food will always be hot! Just a fair warning though: cash only!

Hadn’t been in a while, and was pleasantly surprised to see the place has undergone a bit of a makeover. Well, at least the floors, curtains & menus all seemed newer and cleaner than in the past. Same dingy ceiling tiles, though. They really need to be changed out. Breakfast fare was about the same as always. Love their spicy home fries. Eggs benedict were cooked to perfection… Western omelet was stuffed so full I could only manage to eat half! Service was prompt and friendly. My coffee mug never went empty. We may just have to start stopping in a little more often… one of the better breakfast joints in the area.

Pretty busy little place! All the tables were taken when we arrived and we had to wait for just a short minute. The food was okay. Nothing to rave for. However the pancakes did leave a strange numb feeling in my mouth. I heard no complaints/complements from my dining companions about their food. The listening skills of the wait staff is pretty poor. I ordered apple pancakes what I received was pancakes. One of my companions wanted homemade hash, but instead got canned. The staff was barely noticeable. No personality or smiling faces that I remember anyways. No one got their drinks filled.

Wow. Just wow. I have never had an experience quite like the one we had at Sunny side Café… you walk in and you WANT to LOVE this place. I mean its a small family owned café, supposedly been there for a while(by its looks) the place is full of people… great sign right? hmmm. we walk in a see a sign that says«wait for hostess to seat you» and we wait… and wait… and wait… for about 7 or 8 minutes we wait. the dining room is very small, we could see the entire restaurant from where we stood. every waitress walked by, no one said anything. even the kitchen staff was staring at us~ we almost walked out. then a waitress comes up and gives us a weird look saying«you can sit anywhere. you know» we showd her the sign and she said«oh that was from this weekend…» so we sat ourselves… The food was horrible. my husband ordered the irish breakfast and asked if the hash was homemade. the woman didn’t know but assumed it was canned. she was right. his breakfast was so disgusting he didn’t even eat it(this never happens) I ordered the waffle breakfast and for 9 dollars I got a waffle with cold sausage links and two eggs. we will never go back.

Nothing special about this place just a simple place to get a good breakfast at a good price. Just remember it is cash only.

The breakfast food was WAY better than Jake’s right down the street! I got the veggie omelet with wheat toast and home fries(spicy). Got the veggie egg whites and it had tomatoes mushrooms onions and cheese in it. You could tell the mushrooms were canned, but the meal all together was good for a quick brunch. The food came out SO fast I was surprised!(Probably because it was dead). The service was eh, we didn’t get the waitresses name and she never asked how it was or picked up our plates. My boyfriend got the Boston Benedict. He said it was really good. Came with the hollandaise sauce(which I’ve heard was fake) but he ate every bit of it(as well as a side order of sausages and one pancake). Bill came to $ 22. Not too bad!

I wish this place used fresh ingredients instead of canned or frozen veggies. I ordered there veggie omelette but was disappointing to discover that their mushrooms were canned and their broccoli was frozen. I do not wish to return to spot unless I hear they use fresh ingredients.

Good, inexpensive and plentiful, endless coffee. Gourmet? no and there’s no chance you will find that here but it is a decent place for a good breakfast with fast service. There’s a «specials» board and a early bird special, HEY it’s a diner! Lighten up a little, it’s not Wolfgang Puck, it’s local and you might find some dirt on the floor. Get over it. Enjoy the generous portions the home fries(not fried) and the endless mediocre coffee. The best part? The service. Ask for Mary, she’s the best, leave a nice tip, they work hard.

5 star for the sweet and attentive service. Zero for cleanliness… I’m shocked the place hasn’t been shut down for a good scrub — the walls, rugs, back rusted door, ceilings, vents — filth beyond reality. I cringe to think what the kitchen looks like. Ketchup caps have mold. I’m not squeamish, but we all got home sick. Food is terribly bland and greasy. Yep, you can get egg beaters, but you will get an oily mess. Hash, sauces are from cans. Food is very poor. It’s a pity, because the staff is so nice. The owner should be ashamed to treat so many loyal patrons to the environment. :(so mush potential, so much dust and mold…

I had such high hopes for this place. I had read a Unilocal review about their eggs benny and their menu has a buttload of benny options, but sadly, the hollandaise is not real hollandaise sauce, it tasted like GRAVY!!! soooo wrong! I didn’t even order the benny, I ordered a side of the sauce and I’m sooo glad I did because I would have been so angry. Although, the breakfast I did end up ordering was a big disappointment anyways. The western omelette had too much ham in it, I know what you’re thinking, how could you ever have too much ham? but seriously, it was a disgusting amount and it was overwhelming. The onions were watery, so when mixed with the humongous amounts of ham, it made this watery/greasy, ugly brown mixture in the omelette that was also lacking cheese I had ordered. The potatoes looked good, but weren’t that great and I suspect they were old. Husby liked his bacon omelette and he got the spicy potatoes which he also liked, but my meal was so bad, I don’t think I can bring myself to go back there again. We were seated in this room that felt like a church basement. The service was quick and our food came out super fast, but none of this matters cause I don’t think I“ll be returning.

OK, I have since been in search of «Healthy Benedict». I have not been successful. :( I must give this place an extra star for that entrée because it is oh so unique.
