History
Established in 2009.
From the highest levels of government, hospitals and clinics are being encouraged to adopt EHR systems as a
means of cutting costs. However, doctors and hospital administrators rarely have the professional knowledge
needed to select between the multiple products available on the market. EHR systems are expensive and they
come in a range of packages designed to meet the diverse needs of an even more diverse base of prospective
customers, which includes hospitals, doctors’ offices, clinics, urgent care centers, and more.
The Ficus Consulting Group provides reliable EHR consulting services and support to physicians. The Company
guides individuals or group practices in selecting an EHR system and the hardware to support it. The Company’s

Richmond Appiah Jr. is an experienced Healthcare IT Executive and
Entrepreneur who has a proven track record in Electronic Health Record
Implementation Strategies, data and network security methodologies and
Hospital Data Integration Projects for well over 250 medical facilities.
Richmond has maintained various skills sets in program coordination with the likes of EHR software products such as eClinicalworks, Athena Net, Epic, Cerner Millennium, Allscripts, Nextgen Electronic Health Record Pre /Post Implementation preparation & has implemented and advised Medical Office IT infrastructure, Practice Management, and Workflow Analysis strategies with various healthcare systems.
Richmond is a former PPOC Chief Information Security Officer at the PediatricsPhysicians Organization, as well as Senior Trainer and Senior Application Analyst, at the Children’s Hospital Boston.
