I found CarSmart through Groupon, and I am so glad I did! Everyone was extremely friendly. I had my car in for an oil change, and they reminded me that my tires were essentially bald (57,000 miles on them!). They quoted me a very fair price to replace all 4 tires, so I had them do that as well. They also offered a shuttle to and from my office, which made my appointment very convenient. I will absolutely be coming back to CarSmart for oil changes and service for my car!

Excellent customer service. Price is average to high. They kept their word on the time frame that it will be finish.

This is a «you get what you pay for» kind of shop. After moving to St. Louis I spent years with a couple of shops run by nice but ultimately unreliable guys who never charged much but rarely did the work well.
I was referred to this shop by a close friend. We take our late model CR-​V and Prius to them, mostly for routine maintenance.
Prices aren’t the cheapest, but they’ll do their best to match someone else if you ask. If you’re the kind of person who likes to save $ here and there by doing stuff yourself, this may not be your cup of tea. But if you don’t like to spend any time under the hood, enjoy the idea of preventative maintenance, and need some flexibility with schedule or free rides then you should give them a try.
I don’t mind paying a bit more for the peace of mind. And the entire staff has never been anything but professional and helpful to my wife and I. The rare few times we’ve had concerns about things they’ve never hesitated to address them to our satisfaction. Been a customer for something like 10 years and I have no reason to go anywhere else.

After being told by another shop that my tire was not fixable you proved them wrong. Not only did you fix it, you did it at no charge. A very unexpected and pleasant surprise since I was having a very rough day to start with. Thank You!

I would like to start by saying, Thank you to Mike! He was super nice, and helpful. e My mom, and I had just reached St. Louis when, our power steering pump died. My mom swears that she had it replaced months ago (but I tend to think that the place she went to scammed her). Anyway, we got towed to Car Smart, since it was the only place open on a Saturday afternoon.
We were told that, they could fix it, but not till Monday. They said we might be able to drive. But Mike was straight forward that we could try to drive, but it might not be safe. We waited till Monday (since, yes it was very hard).
It was an expensive repair, but my mom had it fixed on the cheap before, and they clearly didn’t do the work. We know Car Smart did the work, and did a great job! They were really on the ball too, they called with progress reports, and a few days after we left they called to make sure everything was still working and in good condition.
They have customer service that is better then any repair shop I have ever seen!

I first posted a review about this place last week after I took my car in to get the flex pipe on my exhaust system fixed. When I posted, I was going on past experiences that I had with them, and I was very optimistic that I would have the same «fuzzy feelings» visit.
This was not the case. For the most part, everything looked great, and felt great… right up until they told me about the repair.
They told me that the flex pipe would be pricey and that they could find a way to cut the cost by having a local welder do a patch job on the broken pipe. They quoted me a price of $ 270 for the patch job, but let me know that a new pipe would cost in the $ 700s. WHAT?! (That’s when they went from 5 stars to 4)
So I called Meineke. Why? Because they deal with exhaust systems, and because if George Foreman got it right with his grill, then how could he be wrong about mufflers?
Meineke told me that it’s a common repair on my model of car, and that it would only cost around $ 170 for a new part AND labor and tax.
I then went to CarSmart and let them know that I was getting another estimate. One would think that since they offer a free pre-​purchase inspection and estimate, they would have no problem with me checking around. However, I got a little guilt from one of the employees. I got my car back, but I felt weird about it. (And THAT’S when it went from 4 stars to 3)
To summarize. Car Smart quoted me $ 270 for a patch job, $ 700ish for a new part. Meineke charged me $ 170 for a new part and labor.
Yes, Meineke isn’t local, but when it comes to $$ I have no qualms supporting the franchise machine.
Sorry, CarSmart, I really am bummed that it didn’t work out.
