Maureen and I were looking for just the right piece to fit a hallway niche in our home. Robbie, always the thoughtful and resourceful steward of this magical place, did not dissapoint.
This is always a must stop venue when we visit Mariposa. There is always something new to view. Michael’s handcrafted furniture pieces are fabulous.
This weekend, with the Butterfly Festival in full swing, it was very welcoming and a great getaway!

A diamond in the rough, this shop had an amazing combination of extremely fair prices and some of the best defined character I’ve seen spread out amongst several rooms that I’ve seen in, well, forever. The shop owner’s attention to detail and skillfull, caring ability to coordinate items together in a cohesive and astetically pleasing manner were increasingly apparent upon visitation of each individual room! It was a very pleasant experience — one which took me and my entire family by surprise given that the shop didn’t look like anything special on the outside at first glance. If you’re passing through Mariposa, this is definitely a «stop, drop by, and roll afterwards» sort of treasure cove!

Chocolate Soup is definitely the best place to go shopping for the holidays. It’s just like walking into a house from a fairy tale. Lots of beautiful holiday magic! I wish I could describe how wonderful it looks when you walk into… but I’ll let the readers find that out to persuade them to going in themselves.
From ornaments, to souvenirs, to stuffed animals, to books… this place has a ton of things perfect for shopping.
When I was little, I used to go shopping here with my aunt and mother the day after Thanksgiving.
And the Christmas trees they have around the holidays are always so beautiful.
This place brings back so much nostalgia. I miss it so much.

Oh my! Lovely shop… lots of pretty… rustic…colonial…sweet smelling.. …antique…jewels…yummy…indoor, outdoor treasures!!! Delightful Darlene is the best! Don’t even think about not stopping here… it’s a gem! You WILL find something charming and a good price too!

I like to buy my gifts locally and have always found a special something in here. It is a cozy place full of treasures and the best atmosphere. As a treat… try the chocolate covered sunflower seeds.

Cute little shoppe. They sell antiques, holiday items, bath, and home décor items. The shoppe is in a two story house. They take full advantage of every room in the house. There are even outside areas to find fun little items.

I can’t believe no one has reviewed Chocolate Soup yet! My mom and I stop by here at least once during our annual weekly trip to Mariposa/​Yosemite. The store itself is housed in a great old two story red house surrounded by a beautiful garden and lawn area, which back up to the creek. They have a huge selection of really interesting products, beautiful antiques, garden, kitchen and home goods, handmade furniture, books and kids items. I love the room at the top of the stairs. Go and you’ll see what I mean. I always find a gift for a friend or family member, something for myself and something to covet for another time. The ladies who work here are always really nice and they offer an incentive card which I manage to forget to bring with me every year. Definitely stop here if you’re staying in Mariposa or even on your way through to or from Yosemite!
