Southington Security Services is a family owned lock, safe, and security business that has been serving the Southington, Connecticut community and its surrounding towns for over 35 years.

Established in 1977 by Lester H. Harris, the business is now owned and operated by his son Gilbert N. Wade, Certified Professional Locksmith and Certified Professional Safetech. Besides Gil, his son, Wesley Wade, has joined our staff as our full time locksmith, making us a 3^rd generation Professional Security business. Jason White, our apprentice locksmith, waits on customers and works in our shop. Barbara will usually answer the phone and schedule appointments. Diane oversees and manages the complete Southington Security operation.

We service commercial, residential, automotive, industrial, and contract maintenance companies. Some of the services we provide to customers include hardware installation, access control and restricted key systems, automotive locks serviced and replaced, locks re-​keyed, exit/​panic devices installed and repaired, safes sold, serviced, and installed.

Established in 1977 by Lester H. Harris, the business is now owned and operated by his son Gilbert N. Wade, Certified Professional Locksmith and Certified Professional Safe technician. It has had the same store front location since 1997. Rounding out our team is Jason White, a Registered Locksmith. Anthony Ziegler helps manage store operations while Shaun Hall supports our Locksmith and safe moving team. Carol Normandan will usually answer the phone and schedule appointments and help mange our finance dept. Finally, Diane oversees and manages the complete Southington Security Operations.

Meet the Business Owner

Gil W.

Business Owner

Gilbert N. Wade is a Certified Professional Safetech and Certified Professional Locksmith. Gil, which he is better known as, has been a locksmith since 1996. He started in the Locksmith Institute and earned his certification. He, then, went on to earn is CPL in 2008 and his CPS in 2009. He is actively engaged in local trade associates and has served as a president in the Nutmeg Locksmith Trade Association. He has attended numerous trade association classes. Gil is active in the Southington Chamber of Commerce. As well he is active in many other civic and religious groups throughout the town of Southington. Gil has a firm belief in always continuing education within the locksmith trade.
