Campbell Steele Gallery – Music in the MUD!

One-​of-​a-​kind gallery and shop in the area including a variety of prices, styles, mediums. The owners are also delightful and wonderful to chat with. A variety of events, including $ 5 bands, a bit more expensive performances, and workshops/​lectures are held there. Makes for a great night out.

This is a great art gallery in downtown Marion and really is a fuel for cultured nightlife in the downtown area. They are always hosting great events and have outstanding live jazz and funk bands. If I need to relax in this small town I go to Campbell Steele gallery then head down to Ramsey’s metro market down the street. Its good to see places like this choose Marion as its home. And hope to see more of this unique influence rub off on the downtown district.

A beautiful art gallery in the heart of Marion. I discovered this place while checking out the Marion art festival 2 years ago. The gallery caught my eye as I was walking back to my car. Beautiful fixtures hung from the ceiling and vibrant colors were scattered all over the walls– I knew I had to check it out! The owners are very gracious and greet you with a warm welcome. They even let you snoop in their studio on the second level! Such detailed artwork for every age and every price point. I have had a chance to attend their Music in The Mud series (live music in the gallery.) what can I say, it was a blast! $ 5 cover to see a live funk band, can’t complain. Both times I have been to the gallery they have had different art work, which leads me to believe they sell quite a bit and are always trying to incorporate new pieces. Their wine bar and cheese platters are to die for. If you’re in the area definitely check it out. They offer a mailing list if you go to their site, and will keep you updated on all the great things to come at this wonderful gallery.

I love this space. I am looking forward to coming here for a live performance sometime and I’d be lying if I said the thought of an intimate wedding reception here hasn’t crossed my mind once or twice! The gallery itself is pretty great. I haven’t been to too many galleries but I often compare them to museum art stores: minimalism aesthetic and monochromatic overall scheme. In a word: cold.

There is something here for every art lover at every price point. I’m very partial to pottery/​ceramics and their selection tests my self control…

Beautifully remodeled art gallery that includes a studio in the upper portion and a wine bar on the main floor. Check out their website because though they have reduced hours, they have live music performances and open galleries with cocktails.
The best of the best, and the owner is most likely ONsite. :)
