Food was delicious, what we had of it. Visited on a Bristol Race weekend. Charming place run by a couple. Their menu clearly states ‘we prepare good food not fast food. No problem with that. My friend ordered the Western Omelet which was $ 7.95. Came with just the omelet, no hash browns or toast. When he questioned he was told ’ you didn’t ask for it’. My coffee was refilled but my friends tea was not. So although the place is quaint and full of southern charm, remember to ask for all the things you want to eat and don’t assume. Also with it being a race weekend it was very busy and the one owner who was taking care of all the tables was busier than a one armed paper hanger, it might be good business to hire a few people just for those busy weekends or recruit some friends or family for help.

We were looking for breakfast on a Sunday morning on our way home from a convention in Wytheville and stumbled upon this place. Thank goodness for those highway signs that tell you about food, lodging and attractions. The place doesn’t look like much but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was good and the food was great. I had eggs, grits, sausage and french fries, I know that’s a strange breakfast item but I like dipping my fries in the yolk, so good. My friend had eggs and bacon and we split some french toast. All was delicious and came out fast. We will definitely be back whenever we’re in this neck of the woods.

Fun country cooking place. Food was really good. Olé fashion country with okra and country fried steak. Not fancy but reasonable prices and comfortable surroundings.
