Zendona Massage

Location and lobby seemed nice so I gave it a try… MISTAKE!!! Nasty blankets that felt dirty, old blanket on table as we’ll!!! When man can in he started on my butt !!! I told him to skip that area and focus on my back. Next he went way to far up my thigh!!! I feel like he was trying to take it to an Happy ending.:(((((he had his back turned to me the entire time and spoke zero English. Then he waked out of the room and came back with some concoction to put on my face! When I asked him what it was he could not tell me…:(((((((to boot, I did not get 60 minutes. It was like 47 mins.
Do not go there because it was GROSS!!!

The male masseuse got a little too handsy with me and made me uncomfortable. Not the first time I have had a male but the first time I have felt uncomfortable.

CRAP! Wish I’d seen their rating before buying a Groupon for this place. When I made my (same day) reservation, I asked if my room could be preheated (you wouldn’t believe how many freezing places I’ve been in), guy said no problem. [ it didn’t feel heated at all ] *BRR* Small lady in pink gave a uniquely relaxing massage. I asked her to skip parts and give more time on my arms and hands — and she did. FOR THIS REASON ALONE, I ADDED A 3RD STAR. Pressure was ok (I’ve had better). Right before leaving, while digging thru my purse, the kid at the counter said to me; «Did you tip her?»
*GASP*
Has ANYONE else had that happen to them??? WTH???

I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews! I also bought a deal on groupon because the place is a block away from my apartment, I have now been there 5 times and have had such a good experience every time. The place is squeaky clean, EVERYTIME I arrive they are friendly in greeting me, and every appointment has started right on time. I have had three different massage therapists, and each time they were amazing! I have traveled to many 5 star resorts and their massages were better than even most I receive at the resorts. The masseuses give a ton of effort and are very detail oriented. Also, the rooms are tranquil, I hear no noise from the outside and they are very CLEAN. Also, although they speak little English they understand simple massage requests, and do you really want to get a massage with someone trying to chat, either about themselves or their own personal life! I will continue to go back and pay full price for their services.

The Ambiance is A-​MAZ-​ING. I will absolutely return there again and again. You get to choose your level of pressure and the music is playing and the next thing you know you have drifted off to a beautiful land of peace in which you reside until the massage is over. SO RELAXING especially when you start off the first 15 mins with your feet in the warm water… HEAVENLY!

I had a 90min deep tissue groupon that I wanted to use. I called and made an appointment, for 90mins. The guy on the phone didn’t ask for my groupon number, just told to bring in the paper when I arrive. I didn’t even receive a reminder call the night before, which I prefer, just in case I forget about my massage appointment.
When I arrived, the place seemed nice. My therapist was waiting for me. I filled out my form. My therapist didn’t ask if I had any areas to focus on. I was asked to undress and lie face up, under THE BLANKET and put my feet into the warm water. Ewwwww. There were no sheets! I was completely grossed out the whole time. I had a hard time relaxing. Needless to say, I left my underwear on.
The massage itself was actually really good. My therapist did a great job. She kept checking in to make sure the pressure was okay. I really enjoyed the flow of her massage as well.
When the massage was over, I noticed that it had only been an hour. I was alittle annoyed and confused. After I got dressed, I asked the front desk guy why I only got an hour when I paid for a 90min massage. He said they ONLY HONOR 60MINS. That makes no sense! Why would you offer 90mins? I wouldn’t have spent the extra $ 15, and just used that as a tip instead. He said he would give me a free 30 min massage as compensation. I didn’t want compensation; It was the principle of the matter. I felt duped. Why would you offer something and not honor it? I said I wouldn’t be coming back. This is very misleading to customers.
I also brought up the issue of the blanket. I asked why there weren’t any sheets. He said that most people don’t want sheets, they prefer the blanket. Ew. I’ve NEVER heard of that. That doesn’t make any sense either. Why would I prefer a blanket? I would rather have both, with the option of taking off the blanket. I asked if they wash the blankets. He said they do all the time, but you never know. This seems like a HEALTH CODE VIOLATION to me.
I usually like the check the Unilocal reviews before I purchase a groupon, but I forgot to do my homework. I noticed that they had eight, one-​star reviews, which didn’t seem like a good sign to me, but I felt like I was prepared if it was going to be a bad experience. I actually would’ve given the place three-​stars, but after my experience, they only get two (only because the massage was good).
I complained to groupon. I hope whoever also buys a 90min groupon knows that you will only receive 60mins and it may not be worth your time.
Ps, They haven’t changed the name on the front of their business, so don’t be confused if it still says «Serenity» instead of «Zendona.»

Worst experience of my life. I have never felt so VIOLATED. I bought two groupons for $ 45 for 90 min deep tissue including 20 min foot reflexology (one as a gift for my bf for his bday) and easily booked appointments for the next day.
When the masseuse came in, he didnt even introduce himself and then promptly started touching my face and neck in a weird intimate way that was NOT a massage and his hands REAKED of cigarettes. He also had long fingernails that continually SCRATCHED me throughout the massage.
I asked that he concentrate on my neck and shoulders. His English was so poor that all he could really say was «ok?» and «more hard?» so maybe he didnt get it. I then proceeded to receive the most INVASIVE inner thigh and butt massage of all time. I was clenching my legs together because he DID NOT DRAPE me to properly cover my private parts during the leg massage. The upper leg massage must have gone on for 45 MINUTES! I never even received the foot massage (maybe 5 min of awkward rubbing, definitely no reflexology, and he didnt understand when I tried to ask about it). He regularly touched INSIDE MY BUTT CRACK. I’m not kidding, he massaged it, dragged a rough towel through it, etc. It was DISGUSTING.
The only reason I didnt walk out was because my 6’4, 270lb boyfriend was in the room next to me and I figured if this guy went any further that he would take care of business for me.
I did NOT leave a tip (for either of our massages) and the reception man straight up asked us to leave tips before we left.
I don’t want a «redo massage» at this place and since I paid Groupon I guess I need to go through their channels to get a refund. This was a HORRIBLE experience by an unprofessional masseuse. I plan to look into state laws regarding draping and inappropriate behavior by massage therapists so that I can report this creep!

When I walked into the massage spa with my groupon voucher, the first thing I noticed was that the guy at the receptionist desk had zit cream dabbed all over his face… so unprofessional! It made it awkward talking to him. So minus one star for that. Another thing, I asked them what kind of oil the masseuses use and it was mineral oil! Ugh! I asked them if they had anything else, and they said no. Oh well. Minus one star for that.
Usually when I go to a massage spa, they leave the room and give me time to undress myself. Then they ask where I need the work done the most. Not here! She asked me to undress right then and there in front of her and get right on the table. I decided this must just be a cultural difference since she used to do massage in china and had only been here 2 years. She couldn’t understand half of what I said to her. Sorry, I have nothing against the Chinese, but if you’re working a business you need to know how to communicate with your clients. Minus one star for that.
The massage was good! She massaged me from head to toe, except for my chest of course, but definitely my whole bare butt haha. I didn’t mind in the least, but for someone who isn’t prepared she should probably ask them beforehand if that’s okay. The other thing I thought was weird was at one point, while she was massaging my thigh, she propped my leg up in a way that my vagina was pretty much staring her in the face at the end of the table lol. Awkward.
Either way, I liked that she put my feet in warm water and at times would press a nice hot towel on certain parts of my body. She also really took her time at each area and I left feeling relaxed and refreshed!
Conclusion? Good massage. Bad customer service. I probably won’t go back there again.

I’ve been in need of a massage but couldn’t decide on a place to go. When I saw the Amazon deal for $ 37, I was a little skeptical but thought why not? The spa itself is really clean and relaxing. The name really does describe the setting. My therapist was Tina and she was super sweet and professional. She was gentle, yet firm when she needed to be and made sure that I was doing ok throughout the massage. I got the Swedish Deep Tissue Massage, it was a fully body massage which covered everything from my cheekbones to my feet! The massage itself was relaxing and helped relieve tension throughout my body. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon.

As I mentioned in my first review, the first couple of times were great but the third time was bad. Massage was not very good and uncomfortable. The person seemed rushed, and ended the massage before 60 minutes were over. I cannot recommend this place at all. There are other, better places in the Marina for less money.

The Hispanic masseuse girl didn’t even give me 5 mins to undress. She didn’t knock, she WALKED IN on my naked body. That was the beginning of my session.
She starts by complaining about the spa and the Asian coworkers (I’m Asian btw) and how they can’t speak English.
Her hand gestures had ABSOLUTELY no transition. She would ATTACK from point to point. She also had LONG NAILS that I could feel digging into my skin.
She continues to talk about her personal problems. A spa is a place of peace, a worry free, stress free environment. At some point she told me «I don’t even wanna work here but I’m here bc I HAVE TO BE.» She started talking money, how she gets paid $ 15/​hr.
She asked if the masseuse at Massage Envy across the street hires Hispanic people. «The receptionists are all white girls though…»
She cleaned me like a table with a rag. It was NOT SEXY, it was PAINFUL.
She left the door open and would walk out several times without telling me… Leaving my naked body showing.
I learned my lesson. Stick to Massage Envy because this place is HORRIBLE.

It’s not so much that I paid for that… massage…I’ll just never get that hour of my life back. After greeting me with a slice of pizza in her hand, she came back — still chewing by the way — and gave a rub down at best. My guess there is ABSOLUTELY no licensing going on there. I declined the «frequent flyer» card and will never return… despite living 45 second walk away.

If I could give it no stars then I would have. WORST massage of my life.
Man I had (who did not introduce himself) was a complete perv.
Told him to stop rubbing me around my butt and inner thigh, but acted as though he did not understand English.
At the end of the massage he proceeded to put lotion in my hands and told me to rub it on my breasts, which I refused.

Let me preface this: IT USED TO BE A GREAT PLACE.
I used to go to Serenity Spa often because of it’s great prices, excellent massages, and superb customer service. I haven’t been since the end of 2012, so I decided it was time to go back for a much needed deep tissue massage.
When I tried to make an appointment over the phone, it was as if the person from the spa wasn’t understanding that I wanted the basic deep tissue massage. That should have been an indicator for how my experience was going to be.
I arrived to Serenity (which, by the way, is not called «Zedona Massage») and walked past some guys smoking out front. As soon as I walk through the door, the receptionists were they guys taking their smoke break – another interesting indicator. It turned out that the smoking receptionist (I can’t remember his name) was my masseuse!
The massage table didn’t have a sheet to cover your body; it was a blanket. That made me feel dirty (how many naked bodies have been under this thing besides me?!?).
The massage wasn’t too bad but the customer service was garbage. The smoking masseuse (formerly known as «smoking receptionist») had his phone in his pocket and it kept going off. Albeit it was on vibrate, but that vibrating sound is magnified when in a quiet facility. The smoking masseuse also wreaked of cigarettes (surprise, surprise). He would cough loudly or clear his throat and not apologize. Once again, I was disgusted. Lastly, when he was done with the massage, he just said «OK!» loudly and left the room. I looked at the clock and it was 5 minutes before my massage was supposed to be over. I sat there perplexed and realized that that was the end of the massage.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO GET A MASSAGE. The latest ownership has turned this place upside down. I’d rather spend more $$ for better service than come back to this dump.

I love this place. I went once on a whim. The masseuse was Kevin — OMG! I’ve had many massages but Kevin really knew what he was doing. He is very confident however humble with excellent manners — polite with perfect attitude & very respectful.
I enjoy most the $ 39 special which includes foot soaking & foot massage along with full body massage.
I have since bought a package & always ask for Kevin.

I have the most amazing massages at Serenity from Tricia. I have been going there (and to her) for the last year or so when it was Serenity and now Zedona. Every massage I have had from her has been amazing and the best I have had. My only challenge with Tricia is that she is always busy when I am available and it is difficult to get her… Either way, she is worth the wait! Also, I like the enhancements that the new owner has made to the place. The rooms are much bigger and I am able to relax.

This place is not even deserving for a 1 star… I should have read Unilocal before I came in. They were the only massage place in my area that had openings for a friend and I tonight – now I know why. No information taken nor did it matter. The man rubbed my face raw with his rough hands with no lotion or oil. He had no clue on how to give a massage nor did the girl that massaged my friend in the same room. We got the $ 55 special that included 60 min massage, detox bath (what a joke) they put our feet in hanging off the massage table as soon as I layed down and it hurt my legs and was uncomfortable. They were in and out of the room nonstop. They the parafin wax. another interuption. back to the horrible massage which I cant even call it that. The man massaged my butt which was completely inappropriate. i reached down and pulled the blanket back up. He also shot the massage oil on my back which I also thought was weird and unprofessional. My friend got up and left and only paid $ 45 instead of $ 55 – we both opted out for the shower we were supposed to receive post massage. I came out and gave $ 60 and she has the nerve to ask me where his tip was! I feel violated, ripped off and pissed off – and my face is red and swollen from his filthy hands rubbing hard around my eyes over and over. STAY AWAY! This was far from Serenity – it was the worst I have ever had!

DO NOT GO HERE if the owner, a young man named Eric, is there. He is unreasonable, rude, and a cheat. First, I called ahead to schedule an appointment with a particular therapist through Eric. When I arrived, Eric was at the reception area with another receptionist. He did not raise his eyes from the computer screen, on which he was watching some kind of video. Luckily, the other receptionist was friendly, but informed me that the therapist I scheduled the appointment with was double-​booked (thanks, Eric). Fine, I got a great massage with Trisha instead. I presented a Groupon ($ 45 for «One 90-​minute deep tissue or Swedish massage» with no caveats, no exceptions written in the fine print). Afterward, Eric told me I had to «pay the difference» because the Groupon was for a different massage from the one I just got. I pointed out to him that the massage I received was a 90-​minute deep-​tissue, and I didn’t understand where the confusion was. Eric pointed out that the Groupon did not apply to the «Body massage» I just got (regular price is $ 72), which was described on their service menu as a «deep tissue or Swedish.» Further, the Groupon indicated that the $ 45 was worth a $ 107 value. Eric kept insisting I paid another $ 16 for a massage that was undervalued according to Groupon. On principal, I asserted I was not going to pay any more than what I already did. I asked to speak to the owner or manager, and Eric kept silent. He did not even have the balls to identify himself as the owner. I only found out he was the owner after I spoke to my therapist to tell her I was happy with her massage, but my experience with Eric just undid the 90 minutes of relaxation I just had.
It’s too bad. I know Zendona is a «new» spa (it was formerly Serenity Massage), and I wanted to support it. The two massages I’ve had there were great. But I will never give another dime to an establishment with such a rude, incompetent owner. For those of you with a Groupon, be sure to present it up front and make sure you do not have to deal with Eric.

When you spend $ 39 on a massage ($ 37 if you get the Amazon deal), there are certain things you should just expect. Taking price into consideration, I knew better than to think that I would get much more than a good massage. Price aside, there are some things that should never be tolerated.
The massage started off fine, she had a great warm up and decent pressure. Unfortunately, the practitioner didn’t know that you don’t apply pressure to bone. When using her elbows in my back, continued with the same pressure along the spine of my scapula. That’s painful, and you’re not massaging anything. But I was gonna give her a pass on that.
What really took the cake was when she left the space. Apparently, she was still working as the receptionist while giving my massage. She walked out of the room 7 times. SEVEN!!! By the 6^th time I’d had it. I decided I would leave if she left again, but when she did I lost my nerve. I didn’t want her walking in while I was dressing. To top it off, some guy was there who kept speaking to her through the curtain. I was completely out of the zone by then. No bueno.
Oh, and by the way, this place is still Serenity massage. I don’t know why Unilocal thinks they’ve changed their name, but the sign says Serenity.

I’m a strong believer that you usually get what you pay for and this place is no exception. I purchased an Amazon deal for a 60 minute massage for $ 30. I called and was able to get a same day appointment.
Now let me begin by stating I’ve received a lot of massages. However I’ve never received a massage where afterwards I could barely walk. This is what I experienced at Serenity Spa. I like a lot of pressure but if you’re just jabbing your fingers into someone without working out the knots and kinks, what’s the point? The masseuse was a smaller woman who for some reason felt that she needed to put all her body weight on my small 5’1 petite frame to give a proper massage. WTF! It’s the day after and I can barely turn my neck. Avoid this place at all costs. While the staff are friendly, the service is abysmal.

Based on the previous reviews I was very unsure whether I should go here or not but my mother and I left super pleased. I found this place on groupon for $ 30 and decided to do a mother daughter massage. I made the appointment earlier in the day maybe 4 hours prior. When we got there the receptionist welcomed us, had us fill out a form for liability ad preference and sent us right on our way to get one of the best massages I’ve ever had. My mom was very persistent that she had a female and her request was fulfilled. There were 2 women working that Saturday night, I myself had Eric who was perfect!
The massage they gave us was a combo of deep tissue and reflexology. He started with my face, head, temple, neck, arms, and then my feet which soaked in water first. The rest of the massage just got better & better he worked on every area with a medium pressure and it felt great. The oils they use are nice & light the music the purple walls and quietness all helped me relax which is the key to a great massage. We both had private rooms & really enjoyed the hot towels that soothed & took the excess oil off.
Other reviews were bad because someone came to work sick and yea that is bad because they’re are too close to you to have to deal with that but I would recommend any and everyone I’m defiantly coming back!
