Your ultimate defense is avoiding this business. This company has a gimmicky contract that will deliver the ultimate sucker punch to the gut. Read the fine print. They interpret the contract as allowing them to charge you thousands if you terminate the contract early; and they make it very difficult to terminate the contract.
Here’s how the gimmick works. Company grossly inflates the monthly value of their services and then says they’ll give you a deep discount if you sign a long term contract. They make the discount seem enormous. However, the fine print in the contract suggests you must pay the inflated higher price if you terminate. By analogy, imagine a landlord of a mediocre apartment in Los Angeles that’s worth $ 2000.00 a month under a one-​year lease BUT the lease inflates the value and says it’s really worth $ 5,000.00 a month and the landlord is giving you a 60% discount to get the $ 2,000/monthly rate. Well, here’s the catch: if you terminate they will claim you have to repay the entire «discount» (which was really an inflated price) and therefore owe them the full $ 5,000 a for every month you resided in the apartment; yes the termination is more expensive the longer you stay. Proof of this gimmick is easily revealed once you know that the cost of «termination» exceeds the cost of continuing with the contract.
In my opinion, these are very sharp practices and, in my experience, they have zero interest in customer service. It’s a churn. It’s a mill. Just Google the business and you’ll find loads of complaints.

Please BEWARE of their contract. i signed up for three months cause i had a 3 year old and didnt know if he would like it or not. Then when I was done with the 3 months, i was told my contract was indefinite forever and I needed to give them advance notice that i was cancelling. Why would l ever sign up for something that has no end date when we were just trying it out with a 3 year old. I explained to them i was never told this was indefinite and they said it was my fault for not reading the contract when i signed it. I believe it was a sneaky business practice for not letting me know. BEWARE… highly think twice about signing anything from them.

The instructors at Z-​Ultimate Marina del Rey are top notch. My 4 year old daughter as been going for 6 months and it is amazing to watch her confidence grow… she has found her voice and boy does she know how to use it. Her focus and discipline has improved and she always has fun.
After taking her 3 days a week for a month I decided to sign up for the adult classes and it was the best decision I have made in a long time. I have lost 15 pounds and 3.5 inches off my waist. Not only do I feel great, but finding such a rewarding activity to do with my daughter has been worth every penny. So much so that mom has signed up and it has become a family activity that we can all take part in. Thank you sensei Bobby and sensei Janelle for all your support and encouragement.

Sensai Curtis is the BEST instructor we have ever met! We moved cross country from Florida to Marina Del Rey. We were so fortunate to meet Curtis right when we made the move.
