I stopped by here on a weekday, mid morning, between a couple of appointments to begin stocking up on essentials for a new puppy we’re expecting in a few weeks. I had already done lots of research, but I had a ton of questions and no clue where to start. Ali rescued me from wandering aimlessly around the store, and she walked me through each puppy section, explaining what everything was for and patiently answering all my questions. She was very knowledgeable and gave me puppy tips based on her own experiences. I didn’t feel pressured into buying things I wasn’t ready for, and she handed me a flyer as I was leaving with their upcoming events which I’m really excited about. Definitely plan to come back next time I’m in the area with my new puppy!

The staff and Manager at this Petco Unleashed are remarkable! After calling to inquire about the $ 10 self-​service dog bath, I was told that I could wash my dog as long as I arrived by 8pm. I arrived at 7:55pm and was told it was too late; however, the very kind Associate went to plead my case to the Manager and she allowed me to wash my dog despite the time and the fact that they had already begun their clean up! Kudos to this location for being flexible and understanding, me and my Raisa truly appreciate it!

Love it! It’s a small store but packed with everything this cat lady needs (and more). The staff is super friendly and helpful. They were able to answer all my questions and check-​out was speedy, too. What a pleasant experience :). Thanks! Definitely coming back here again.

The staff here are very knowledgable and clearly passionate about pets. My dog was having skin allergy problems, and the staff were able to suggest ointment and new food (due to food allergy). My dog is extremely picky about food, but the staff assured me that if my dog didn’t like the food, I could return it. Amazingly, my dog absolutely loves the food! And the ointment is healing her hives amazingly.
The only downside to this store is the tiny parking lot. It’s also a little pricier than going to a big box store, but the items are premium — the food I purchased is all natural and will likely last a while since my dog is tiny.
I will definitely return to this store!

Small pet shop conveniently located to our house. Selection is so-​so, but they have something for everything you need. Also have pet wash and grooming so far as I can tell.
It’s in a busy parking lot, so watch out for that.

Super friendly staff, I am greeted as soon as I walk in and they hold the door open (I have a baby and toddler). The store is easy to shop and find what I need (quality brands), the staff is very knowledgeable. I like the clearance priced items and the coupons/​rewards that are sent through Pals membership. The staff always helps me out to my car (when I have a big load), I was going to get some flea medication at Costco but they took care of my needs there and offered me discounts and coupons which really helped save a trip of not having to take my baby to another store. Thank You!

Petco Unleashed has made significant improvements since my last review. They no longer have automatic doors, they have doors that you push/​pull which I think is much safer for the animals coming in and out. Also, when you come in to bathe your dog, they give you towels and a small basket of supplies. Aprons have been readily available at the tubs too.

This place is pretty decent. The traffic in this area can be really bad at certain times and its easy to get stuck in the small parking lot because of traffic arriving to use the other large business such as Costco.
The dog washes are good priced but there are only four tubs. The water spraying mechanisms are big and I found them a little difficult to maneuver around my dogs. The blow drying units are very powerful.

I’ve been here twice now after a Costco run and love it! The staff is super friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. They have a wide selection of products to address just about every need.
We were looking for a new dog food for our puppy and Camilo really knew his dog food. We ended up choosing a dog food that was all natural and featured a meatier taste. Our dog loved it, he couldn’t be happier. Thanks Camilo!

Hillary ! You rock!
I decided to stop by before I headed into Costco. I was greeted within 3 minutes.
Decent selection of dog supplies! I came in to get a mini toothbrush for my yorkie and Hillary showed their selection — while too big she showed me the way to a smaller one ! She truly cares and it shows.
Hillary is awesome! Very emphatic and caring ! Awesome customer care! Petco is lucky to have her as an employee!

My dogs really enjoyed it here ! We went to wash my two dogs, and it was really busy at the dog washing station. My dad wanted to go here after hearing the $ 10 dogs wash, including shampoo conditioner and towels (blow drier as well)! We did find out that each bottle is measured, many people bring their own shampoos.
They have really neat things here. But the wait can get pretty long on a weekend we waited almost 45 mins for a doggy wash.
Dogs and owners enjoy this place :)

The best Petco we have ever been too! The entire staff is great. The manager is always so welcoming! We just signed up with Debbie, the pet trainer! We have been bringing our puppy here since we got him. The store has given us such great advice on the care of our puppy since the first day. The food selection, supplements, skin care, and now training. We love the self-​washes at this location too! I highly recommended this location. The parking is a little hard since it is by a Costco, but well worth it. We park on the street to avoid the madness!

I loved this place! Took both my dogs for baths today and the staff was very fun and friendly. Prices are fair and they have a great selection! Pretty much anything you’re looking for, they have. Bathing stations could be a little cleaner but I just bring my own brushes instead of using there’s. For $ 10 a dog it’s nice they supply the shampoo, conditioner, towels and aprons! I’ll sure be going back!

This review if is for the dog wash. I’m going to make it simple:
Customer service: 5 stars
The actual wash stations: 4 stars (each station should have it’s own dryer)
The was location in the store: 0 stars. There is no true divider when you walk in and other dogs try to badly come in while you are washing your fur baby. They put a simple divider that gets knocked over with just a push. They should build an actual half wall or a good gate.
The water temperature: 0 stars. The water temperature kept fluctuating badly which is scary because you can burn your fur baby without knowing
If unleashed fixes these issues, I would give it give four stars.

Take my English Bully here all the time. Everyone is friendly and the wait time is relatively short. I’ve had to wait once for 15min on a Sunday. Other than that, $ 10 to wash your dog in an easy to load bath area. Supplies are always available. Free treat of the week at checkout! Donate $ 1 when you check out, too and help some more furry friends out.

This is for the self dog wash. Look, it’s only $ 10. Try to get your dog washed in L.A. and it’s a lot more. Ask for a towel, you’ll get one. No towels? They have a dog hair dryer. Ask for an apron, you’ll get one (I’ve washed my dog there 20 times. they were out of aprons just once.).
The biggest problem is poor management of the dog wash area. I have a 75 pound Akita/​Shepherd mix I can wash by myself in less than 20 minutes. For some reason, there are customers who take an hour or longer to wash a 25 pound dog. Really? There should be a 30 minute limit on weekends. But what would one expect from the selfish Prima Donnas who infest L.A.

My go to place for dog food and pet supplies. Great organic choices and a good alternative to the typical big box retailers. Employees are kind, personal and seem like they really care. They have bathing stations for your pets, especially after a dirty day at the beach!

I found myself liking… no, loving this store, despite myself. For many years, I’ve boycotted Petco because of their abominable record with selling live animals. (For more info on that history, just Google it.)
Unleashed is really a cut above most local, non-​chain Mom and Pop pet stores, which I begrudgingly admit since I’m a big fan of promoting small business. Although they don’t sell the food I give my pets (like Sojos and Fromm’s) I was surprised to see some very excellent high-​end natural dog foods at Unleashed, I was very impressed. They’re also the only local pet store I’ve found that carries «natural» dog toothpaste (or rather, dental cleansers). That was a tough one, and Unleashed delivered.
It’s small, it’s cute, the staff is über friendly and they have a lot of natural products (like gluten/​grain free dental chews, etc.) If you’re having a hard time finding good products, I’d definitely check Unleashed out.
