PmAwful food. Second time coming here after a movie cause its right next door to an amc. At night it can be kinda packed but never again will i be coming here. The food isn’t consistent. The first time it was ok, not great. The only thing that made it worthwile were the drinks. Maybe cause i was a bit buzzed it made the food taste ok. Sushi was alright, theres definitely more better places, even market sushi taste better and is cheaper. The kitchen’s food, awful. My friend ordered a steak, took forever to be served and when it did it wasnt even cooked properly like he asked. He didnt make a case about it, he just didnt eat it . Interior review At first i thought the place looked nice, big inside with dim lighting, even has outdoor patio. Bar with plenty of drink options. Bathroom is very dim, looks like a club bathroom, bad lighting. But what i found funny was how they fix things around there. Something fell off the wall and they just fixed it with tape lol. I wonder what else they just put tape on and call it a day.

Ra sushi has a nice little trendy vibe for a sushi restaurant, it’s 2 parts trendy and 1 part sushi. It’s dimly lit, with a nice bar set up and good happy hour. The servers are very attentive and the bar tenders are generous. It can get busy especially on weekends so make sure to get there a little early. The sushi is good but not great. It’s a little over priced for the quality of what you are getting but not outrageous. They have your basic rolls and multiple rolls covered in different sauces and little bits of tempura which I’m sure appeals to the sushi masses. Overall a pretty nice spot and somewhere you can try to grab a bite to eat or a quick drink before running into the movies next door.

Excellent Sushi, Terrific Service! We ended up going to RA after a horrible experience at SALT restaurant. So… after contemplating where to go we ended up here! We sat at the Sushi bar. The service was stellar and the food was outstanding. We ordered the spicy soup, Rainbow roll, Spicy tuna roll and edamame. We would definitely eat here again & would recommend this restaurant!

Friday night, didn’t expect to get the phenomenal service that we did but I was pleasantly surprised! My man and I rushed in 30 minutes before our movie trying to get some food on the fly, and our server Aya was more than accommodating. Service was quick, orders were on point and she was super sweet on top of it. Way to go Aya you’re one of the best servers we have ever encountered

Great Happy Hour! We were going to a movie at the AMC across the street on a Saturday evening and found this great happy hour. Beer, wine and cocktails were all on special as was their sushi and a long list of appetizers. We got out for $ 40 which is a bargain at a sushi restaurant. Our server was an absolute gem and took wonderful care of us. The ambiance is sleek and modern — great for a date night or an evening out with friends. We can’t wait to go back and are so glad to have it in our hood. Tip: Don’t miss the pineapple cream cheese won-tons! They are addictive.

Food is delicious! Edamame BOMB(amazing). I came around happy hour time. Great HH menu. Must have been a shift change because some Of the bartenders were hanging out. I would have given five stars and I wasn’t bothered by the staff hanging out it was the every other word was a curse word and people were at the bar who did not work here that made me give one less star. Employees should be mindful of the customers… But overall I’ll be back!

Nice atmosphere and good food. I had the tuna roll and the Ra-llipops.

Hmmm… I’ve got mixed feelings about this place. The layout and décor makes for a good date night spot, however the mixed drinks and sushi just aren’t quite up to par. The Dragon’s Bite cocktail was too sweet, and couldn’t really taste any alcohol. The main attraction didn’t really do it for me. It’s best to skip most of the specialty rolls and stick to the traditional stuff such as the Nigiri(*Halibut or Yellowtail).

Vibe: Casual/trendy/dim lighting inside. Food: The food here is tremendous! My girlfriend and I love coming here. The drinks are pretty good, the sushi is tasty, and the original rolls here are exquisite. I recommend ordering pork gyoza, edamame, some nigiri sushi, and the caterpillar roll. Happy hour here is awesome! Service: Very attentive, knowledgable, and amiable. Trevor and Carter are both really cool and will make your dining experience enjoyable and memorable. Overall: Very much recommend going here. Great atmosphere, great service, and tremendous food.

What a great sushi place in the heart of Marina Del Rey. I was in the area craving sushi. So I gave RA Sushi Bar a try. I have to say the sushi was excellent. The service was outstanding. After couple minutes I started ordering some great sushi. If you are sushi lover and loves great selections then you are in for a real treat. I highly recommend the king crab roll and the lobster roll. Also I would recommend the having some Sake as RA Sushi has a great sections of them. If you are craving soup the spicy shrimp soup is a must. They also have great salads that are a must. I loved the Asian chicken salad. As we all know sushi places are hit or a miss. I have to say RA Sushi is it hit. The service from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave was outstanding. It’s located on the 2nd floor in the shopping center. You have plenty of private lot parking and some street parking. I will be back here again.

I ordered 4 rolls and an appetizer from here last week. Overall, the food was good and on par for what I was expecting from an average-priced sushi restaurant in MDR. However, while eating my spicy tuna roll, I was stabbed in the mouth by what turned out to be a piece of scale, or large bone. I like raw fish as much as the next guy, but I prefer mine to be completely cleaned. I’m not a bear, or even Bear Grylls.

Had seen this restaurant a few times in Torrance and while catching a movie in Marina Del Rey we decided to finally give it a shot. It obviously has a trendy style to it which means a little pricey than necessary, but par for the course in newer shopping areas. It was lunchtime and quieter than I’m sure a weekend evening would be and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in until we left. It definitely left an impression upon me that every time my server attended to us and I provided a ‘thank you’ he immediately responded«my pleasure». The food was very good(not the best I’ve ever had) and the prices reasonable for an upscale sushi place.

It was our first visit to this location of Ra Sushi. We were absolutely in love with the food. The happy hour specials were also very nice, however the service was painfully slow. It took them 20 mins to give us a serving of edamame(appetizer) and more than 15 mins to get us Mochi trio after the meal. I would like to go back to this restaurant but I hope the service improves.

I came with my boyfriend for happy hour because we heard it was a good deal. $ 62 later… Had a wonderful waitress, Danielle. The food is sushi for people who don’t eat a lot of sushi. Most items are deep fried, tasteless, and/or covered in bizarre sauces. The fish is rubbery and not good quality. The music is poppy club music that makes you feel like you’re at a weekend pool party. If you want good sushi without all that nonsense, go to Irori or Sakura.

Stopped by for a quick bite after Equinox. Loved the ambiance, the dark lighting makes it intimate and quite pleasant. If you were on a date, I’d say its a great spot to come to. Its nice and relaxing and could be quite romantic :) The menu was great, the rolls were fresh, cucumber sunomono salad was very nice and light and the agedashi tofu really delicious, cooked in this unctuous sauce with amazing mushrooms, it was a great dish, delicious and filling. Plum wine was also very good, a perfect compliment to this meal. Whenever Im in Marina del Rey, I will be back to this spot.

My favorite things about RA Sushi were the drinks and the favorable happy hour prices. The sushi itself was ok, but it didn’t knock my socks off. They’ve got your basic sushi and rolls, which are not bad nor are they excellent. The décor is cute, however the ambiance is lacking a bit. Maybe with a better choice of music, it could feel more like a fun night out.

We had a great experience here the other night! Wayne was our waiter and was extremely amazing! He knew he was slammed, but made sure that he kept coming back to our table to make sure we needed anything! He was attentive, friendly, and very professional!!! The food!!! Was on point! We went during happy hour, prices were only really $ 1-$ 2 off, but hey… The food and drinks are delicious so it’s worth it! Can’t go wrong with what you order! They threw in dessert on them, due to the fact that they were so busy! The dessert was amazing pact with delicious sweet flavor! Definitely coming back!

Came here before the movies. Happy hour was perfect! Great lychee martinis and $ 25 for 6 sushi plates did the job. Everything was tasty and service was great! The crispy spicy tuna was my fav. Free edamame too!

The décor is great, they must have spent a fortune on the buildout. There is great outdoor seating overlooking Maxella(nothing much to see though). This place is fine for happy hour. They’ve got some good selections on the menu, as well as drink specials. Plus, they have an early happy hour(4 – 7) and a late happy hour(after 10pm). At least with these discounted prices you feel like you are gettting your money’s worth. Other than that, the sushi is not that great, and it’s pretty expensive, compared to other sushi restarants in the area. If you are going to see a movie at the AMC next door, this is a great spot to have dinner before the movie.
