Andrea did a great cut!!! She listened to find out how I do my hair, the limited time I have to do my hair each day, and what I wanted. She is knowledgable about hair. I recommend her!

I had an amazing appointment with Daisy. She is meticulous, talented and just plain knows hair. This talented girl will work tirelessly to produce the best end result. She listens to the client’s request and while I have been going to Carlton for a while, no other stylist comes close to Daisy.

I almost don’t want to write this review because she’s already booked like crazy because of how AMAZING she is, but then that wouldn’t be fair…
Andrea knows hair!!! She did an ombré for me (I’ve never dyed my hair before) and I absolutely LOVE it! She’s sweet, funny and incredibly talented! She fixed my botched hair cut and just made me feel so pretty! I couldn’t stop staring and smiling! Thank you so much, Andrea! I don’t think I can let anyone else touch my hair but you!

No cut, no wash, they charged me $ 75 dollars for this hair updo. I don’t feel like the cost is justified. I’ve done my hair there many times spending thousands of dollars. I get that when it’s a complicated service like bleaching, dying, hair extensions, etc. the cost will reflect that. This on the other hand took no time. The cost was excessive for the service. Just be mindful.

I have always wanted very specific things done to my hair and never found anybody who ALWAYS does EXACTLY what i want. UNTIL i found Jessica!!! Jessica has been doing my hair for almost a year now and every time she cuts it it stays perfect for at least 4 months. I recently started coloring my hair again and went back to have her do highlights and it is the best highlight I have ever had! She listened to the specific details that I was wanting and did everything just how I wanted. Her attention to detail and caring personality makes her hands-​down the best stylist I have ever encountered!!!

Went there to buy some products. The front desk girl working there seemed to not want to be here. Somewhat rude and dismissal of my questions to her. She did not seem to have enough knowledge about the products she was selling. One would think that they would have better customer service for the high dollars they charge. Not impressed at all.

Noah is a great hair colorist, great with blonde hair especially ! Sweet guy too, very professional and funny.
He is the bomb !!!

I went into a another salon for a naturally looking balayage, which wasn’t what I got. Went back to their «color correction stylist» who was supposedly «the best we have!». Well, she made my hair worse, way too light and totally damaged! I was so afraid of my hair literally falling out from all the bleach, I waited awhile to find someone to fix it for me. In the meantime, they gave me brunette shampoo which just made my hair totally orange. Not cute!
Finally, I took a leap of faith and called carlton’s and was able to get an appointment with Sandra. Thank god!!! Because she totally brought my hair back to life. She listened to exactly what I wanted and didn’t want. I didn’t even show her a picture and she nailed it. I now have the natural look that I’ve been looking for, and on top of all that my hair feels normal again. She gave me a really good masque, which keeps my hair super hydrated. I’m so happy I finally found someone who I can trust with my hair!

I made an appointment to see Andrea after doing some research and reading reviews on Unilocal.Let me just say. Damn she is good!!! I went in confident that she would do a great job based on previous reviews that I read, however she only exceeded my expectations!
She is a self admitted perfectionist, and it shows. She turned my grown out brassy roots into gorgeous sun kissed balayage highlights that literally look how you would imagine they should after spending a week relaxing on a tropical island! :)
If you are wondering who’s going to give you the perfect color you deserve, Andrea is your girl! I’m so glad I took a chance and saw her. I’m not a permanent Los Angeles resident, but any time I get the chance I will make absolute sure I make an appointment with her again. I just got a wash/​trim/​blow dry from Jessica and it was great. She is super chill, very easy to talk to and did a great job on my crazy/​thick hair. The salon is under construction, so the back by the hair washing station is a little messy, FYI. But they only work on it at night so it’s not dusty/​noisy when you’re there. I was looking for a go-​to salon by my house since I recently moved to the west side, and I think I found the place. It was reasonably priced as well, not super cheap but around $ 60 – 75 (depending on tip) for good service and a cut that will last awhile. It is probably more affordable than the salons in Venice that charge $ 100 for a cut without wash/​dry (no thanks). I definitely recommend going here — I also made an appointment day-​of and got in no problem. I got there a little early but it’s next to Ralphs, Starbucks, and a bunch of shops if you need to kill time.

I’ve been seeing Noah for about 3 years. He is awesome! I’m a blonde and haven’t once been disappointed with my results. He’s so great I refuse to go elsewhere, even if my roots are coming in before I have the time and $ to visit again. I also haven’t lived near the salon since my first couple appointments and the quality overrides the «inconvenience» of the traveling.
The rest of the staff is always very friendly and I’m always satisfied and feeling even more confident after I visit.

Carlton Hair Salon is the place to go for a blow out, balayage, or a hair cut .you name it! I was extremely impressed with the hair stylist professionalism and work. Specially Beatriz my stylist who made me look fabulous! The only thing I do have to say is the manager did cross the line by trying to argue with an employee while she was working on a customers hair. In front of us the manager did not control her self and wanted to argued with the employee and that was not the place nor the moment to do so. That on her part needs to improve!!. Besides that moment, Beatriz work made my hair look 10 times better than what I had before! I receive great compliments all the time so Thank you so much Beatriz! I absolutely recommend this place to everyone. I will be referring my friends to this amazing clean place. 5 STARS CARLTON HAIR!

First time here. I have long hair and had split ends. I needed a trim but didn’t want to sacrifice my hair leanght. Natalie did a superb job! First, we talked about my options. Wash, cut, and a blow dry later, my hair looks healthy again. She was able to maintain my desired leanght. Perfect for my upcoming wedding. She introduced me to hair products that will prevent hair from being coarse & dry. I am very grateful for the great service she gave me. :)

I don’t write a lot of reviews but when I do they mean something!!! I had the best experience today with Daisy! She was so patient and listened to my requests and provided her advice! I lightened my hair over already processed hair to which she threw in a conditioning treatment and advised on how to care for my hair at home and recommended product. This woman is fantastic! I was there over 6 hours! And she was thorough and didn’t rush through the process! She wasn’t double booked so her attention was on me the whole time– which sometimes you don’t get at a large hair salon. I love my new hair! I will be referring many new customers over to her!

I wanted to chop off about 6 inches of hair and knew that I had to go to a trusted salon. I had only been here once before that but was amazed by my results. Natalie knew the exact cut I had in mind and shaped it perfectly. She curled it after for a beachy wave look. Her excitement for my new cut was a great addition! I am definitely coming back here for my next haircut.
The salon is also very nice, clean and next to many shops and restaurants.

I wanted something different, both style and color. I was recommended by a friend of mine to Beatrice «Bea». Not knowing exactly what I wanted I was a bit hesitant but figured what the heck. Bea gave me a few suggestions and between us we came up with what I wanted. I must say, I am Super Happy and excited with the end result. I think I found my new Stylest.
This place is at a decent location. I love that I don’t have to pay for parking. The general atmosphere at the salon was good.

Five stars for Madison who got my hair healthy and beautiful today. Long story short: for most of my adult like, I’ve had hair that’s been a bit on the short side (especially by LA standards), and I’ve been trying to grow it out for the last two years, but gave up and wanted a fresh start.
I’ve had my hair cut by Madison a few times before today and she’s always done an amazing job. I’ve done my own coloring for the past five years because I’ve had very mixed results with professional stylists – things always end up too brassy and orange. I’d seen other examples of Madison’s work and was happy to take a chance trying having my hair professionally colored again and I’m so glad that I did. I finally feel like I have someone I can trust with my hair and I don’t have to rely on an out of the box color anymore.

Cleo thanks for being a peach; you gave me hair color that I did not ask for and then you told me «ombré» is in… I guess you do not honor your quality of work and level of professionalism. Cleo, I will never return as your client or to this salon as you so graciously stated to your messenger Victoria… hence, your wish has been granted. I don’t fraternize or exchange money with cowards. Obviously you let your ego get in the way because you’ve done something wrong and you didn’t want to take ownership. I wish you well moving forward.

I’ve been looking for a stylist that could be my «Go To» for my entire life.
Here’s why:
I have thin hair.
I like to have color in my thin hair, but usually it dries my hair to a straw texture.
I like to have extensions in my thin hair, but usually they break my hair.
I never feel like I can «do» my hair because I have never had a stylist cut it to where I actually liked it enough to wear down consistently.
After visiting a salon, I have always ended up with a long haircut with no texture or dimension, even WITH layering, or a short haircut resembling Steve Nash circa 2006.
I am weary about writing reviews until I go somewhere multiple times. However, Carlton Hair is something I will vouch for. I actually FOLLOWED my stylist, Madie from the Beverly Center location to the MDR location 6 months later because I was unsatisfied with the in between when I was out of town. She is friendly, completely understands my thin hair dilemma, doesn’t push products on me and massages your hair after washing it which I love.
The last few times that I have went to her to get my hair done, I have floated out of the Salon with a Jan Brady walk, swinging my hair in the wind rather than feeling like I look like Smigel, and even becoming as angry as he is.
Today I got 8 inches chopped off, highlight, cut, color, and bought products that she used. Madie never complained when I asked for more off, she made time to style even though she didn’t have to, she even invited me to Roller Derby. Pretty bad ass.
