I am sad to report after watching Carl treat a customer terribly, being extremely rude raising his voice belittling him in front of others is bad business
I would never recommend him
No way!

I have had four interactions with CC Marine and ⁴⁄₄ times they failed to keep appointments or return promised phone calls. In talking with other boaters at MDR, all seem to feel this is not a quality shop and to stay away. Despite that, I tried again and had an appointment for the mechanic to come down to the boat, I took time off from work and waited and waited and he never showed up. So I am resigned to using Quinn CAT dealer in City of Industry and will gladly pay travel time just so I do not waste a day off from work.

Pros: Excellent mechanics. Good diagnosticians.
Cons: Expensive — more so than most anyone else in the marina at the bottom line. Also charges travel time from his shop to any marina in MdR, which many do not do, and a significant markup on parts…
Almost totally incomprehensible bills, estimates and invoices.
And Carl can be abrasive at times…

CC Marine are one of the best shops around. They’re expensive but very capable. I had a new boat with a coolant leak somewhere in the system and a fuel leak. We also found that the impeller was destroyed and the raw water pump needed a rebuild.
Their bills basically suck. Super hard to understand. I called and talked to Carl and we went through the whole bill. At a hundred bucks an hour, you would expect that they don’t charge commute time to any MDR marina, but that’s not the case. They start billing when the tech starts driving.
All this being said, Scott was an excellent mechanic and he made the engine pur.

C.C. Marine Service is crooked at best. I had a dead battery so I called him to charge the battery. He sends over a 12 dollar an hour Grunt to do the job. The battery is charged for $ 100. But the $ 12 dollar grunt left an interior light on which drained the battery in the first place. So the $ 12 dollar an hour grunt comes out and charges the battery a second time, Another $ 100. The third time the $ 12 dollar hour Grunt comes out he charges the battery and finds the light he left the light on that was causing the discharge of my battery in the first place, another $ 100. Then the owner of C.C. is pissed about me complaining about the $ 300 bill, And stated I can take my Business elsewhere. I spent at least $ 10,000 with C. C Marine during my 6 years of ownership of my Boat and this is how this Arrogant Owner treats me… The other reviews are by unknowing boat owners taking it in the shorts, Because the Owner of C.C. Marine believes every boat owner has deep pockets full of cash for him!!! And he thinks your just another stupid sucker. Stay away from this crooked underhanded business If your smart (Now you have been Warned) Good Luck!

We’ve counted on Carl and his team to help us figure out the multitude of problems that arise with our boats countless times and they always come through, one way or another. If the solution is not apparent, they put their minds together and figure it out. They’re also honest and dependable and will offer up information on the most effective way to address a situation. It’s a good feeling knowing these guys are in your corner when you’re up against a dilemma.

Good guys. If you have a boat in the water you need this team in your rolodex!
Karl the owner is extremely talented at finding and fixing equipment on the boat.
I got a new generator installed by C C Marine and the same time they did the Head. Fast and on time and OKay on the budget. He and his crew had performed work on the old gen. for a few years prior. Nice guys to work with.
Worth it.
