I’ve lived so close to this place for two years and had never stopped in. The shopping strip has plenty to be desired, ascetically anyway. But I finally found myself wanting to try out their bagels. The bagels are very good, I bought an everything bagel with chive cream cheese and an asiago bagel with bacon egg and cheese. Both were amazing, fresh ingredients, home made cream cheese and I’m guessing the bagels are made there as well. Very friendly staff who was willing to answer my questions and give me good suggestions. The store could use a little TLC, the front door looked pretty rough, but now that I know what is inside I’ll be back!

Love it! Everything they do is great. They would do well in a saturated market downtown. It’s nice to have a place like this out here.

I work within a mile of Hoboken and there isn’t much in the area so I really want to like it! But every time I’m unimpressed! Bagels — The only reason I go here is the Asiago bagel. Sandwiches — no flavor. The fresh bread is very fresh and probably the best part of the sandwich. Soups — I’ve only had the tomato soup and it was ok.

Yes! Great bagels and sandwiches with a homey feel! I used to drive all the way to East Cobb to Bagelicious to get my overpriced tuna salad bagel, until I finally decided to try this place. The interior is very small and quaint, and you can tell its all family owned and everything there is made in house. Really great service and delicious bagel! Also the split pea soup was to die for.

As NY transplants, there are some things which we are fussy about… breads and bagels for instance. We first encountered Hoboken Bagel at the Saturday Marietta farmer’s market but hadn’t been to the shop until recently. The bagels and hard rolls are crisp and light, clearly made with great care and a deft hand. The owners are friendly and engaging. They know how to treat their customers! We will definitely be regulars from now on. They also do catering, cookies, pies, sandwiches etc.

Talk about an unexpected surprise. This place sits on the edge of what looks to be an aging shopping center. From the outside, I almost decided to go somewhere else, but the reviews were good so we decided to go in anyway. Only a few tables so it’s a ought space but it was absolutely amazing. I had the Downneck special and the pastrami was delicious. The sandwich was loaded and not over-messy. Just the right balance of «I need a few napkins» and wasn’t soggy. The potato salad is homemade and the beat I’ve had. My wife had the Lox on a bagel(garlic) and she said it had a lot more lox than she’s used to, which is a good thing. Delicious and loaded with cream cheese and the right balance of capers. We’ll definitely be back. A little piece of Jersey in the South. Beautiful.

This category needs to be separated as follows: New York transplanters… and everyone else who has no idea what a Bagel is suppose to taste like! To see Einstein bagels on a list, let alone next to Hoboken Bagel is nothing short of a travesty! Fellow NY’ers… you know what I’m talkin’ about!!! Back to Hoboken… NICEST owners of any food establishment you will frequent! Like egg salad? Chicken salad? Tuna salad? NONE better! Pastries are«off the charts»! Need REAL pastrami or corned beef every now and then? Look no further. No need to critique bagels made by the hands of native NY/NJ culinary masters! If I seem a bit biased I AM!!! Sorry folks… I love the south, Atlanta, Marietta, and much of what life here has to offer. BUT… when I need to EAT… I gotta have«lantzman»(people from the same area) make my food! Now… let’s discuss the #2 rating to Bagelicious. Seriously? I happen to like Bagelicious for a nice scrambled eggs and onion breakfast, and fellow Jew sightings! Having grown up on the lower east side of Manhattan, surrounded by world class immigrant appetizing, delis and restaurants, my palate is slighted and tainted, to say the least! Hoboken Bagel and Bagelicious need to switch places on the Unilocal list. I’m more than willing to host a bagel, egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad«nosh-off». I guarantee I will convert all you naysayers… and that’s a pretty bold statement from a Jew! Hoboken… they ain’t jokin’! As we say in NY… Try it, you’ll like it!!!

I love this place! It’s convinient to my office and the food is really good. When I walked in I was greeted warmly by the man at the register and it only took a few minutes to get my Turkey sandwich after I ordered. And the coleslaw? Amazing! Definitely recommend this place.

Great east coast sandwiches– thick homemade bread and fresh deli meat! The Italian and the Hoboken were classic. Always fun to drive past a city on the highway and Unilocal a great local family business on the fly. Perfect!

This place is like Cheers. Last Saturday morning everyone was a regular and the proprietress — a lovely woman from Brooklyn — seems to know what her customers want before they even order. I had so much fun chatting with other patrons, I was sorry when it was time to leave. I seem to be on a food jag. When I go to a bagel place I inevitably order chicken salad on a lightly toasted everything-bagel. So that’s what I got here. The chicken salad(topped by lettuce and tomato) was filling. I could only eat half. The Hoboken bagel isn’t like H&H.(Note my NY bagel reference.) Apparently the owners tweaked their recipe to better withstand sandwiches,(or so I heard.) I kinda like NY style bagels better, but these were good. Speaking of sandwiches, I heard that theirs are great … so I’ll indeed come back to try. Another enticement: they stock Dr. Browns soda!
